Some final announcements!
The Grand Prize TV will be hand delivered to the residence of the champion. It will take roughly 3 weeks for delivery unfortunately.
DAVERO - Can you bring your camera and take pictures?? It would be nice to have an ACTUALLY photographer or someone who knows what they are doing take pictures

In other words, they’re gonna dick the winner around for 3 weeks and when the TV doesn’t arrive, no one will have any answers.
I hope you’re not honestly that short sighted Matt. They’re delivering a TV free of charge. This is the first of four major tournaments involving this kind of prize across Ontario. I’m still surprised people are so skeptical of pownz considering they’ve delivered on every promotion and every prize they’ve promised from day 1.
Matt the reason why it’s being delivered is because the box is HUGE and nobody is going to be able to haul it home tomorrow.
cost of delivery is absurd if its going by courier

Yo if I won the TV I’d wanna fucking brag about it while holding the TV, then pay someone to help me carry it.
I’m just curious why it takes 3 weeks to ship no further than Toronto.
Depends on the # of people and # of stations being used.
I’m assuming the usual 8 hours from start to finish.

Hello SRK Southern Ontario community,
We would like to make an Offical statement of our views and decisions at the Pownz & Toshiba presents: The Final Countdown 08/01/09.
During the event several controversal issues arose and we would like to address them right away so that we can be clear and accountable to our actions.
Regarding the finals having to be played on Xbox 360 as opposed to Playstation 3.
As a company we were obligated by the terms set before us to honour our sponsors agreement to have the event played out on Xbox 360. Our terms which the Toshibas were given was the event would be on Xbox 360 and Street fighter 4.
As players we are obligated to serve the community in anyway possible, which leaves at a conflict. Do we honour our agreement? or make a concession? The end decision was to do the right thing and do what we set out to do run a legit high profile Street Fighter 4 Tournament.
The end result was prizes awarded but feelings sullied. Pownz apologies that it was unable to make the final concession but there were too many variables working againts the ideal situation. Our goal in the end was to honor our obligations to those that make things like this possible for you, the community.
Its our duty to fulfill our commitment to the sponsors as well as the players. This means we have to abide by the conditions which have been laid before us. We can only hope that our position is understood so that we can continue to provide the community with our valued service. It is through such trials and experiences that can we can grow and learn towards providing a rewarding and fulfilling competition that all can partake in and enjoy.
It is our sincere hope that we come out of this as a stronger community and company dedicated to providing a forum and community built on understanding,growth and being accountable to all of you.
I just wanted to say all of you guys did a great job and i am proud to play and meet you as a friend and competitor

sorry i lost :sad: when i used the xbox360 controller i really gave it my all i am sorry guys if i disappointed you in not making in the finals im sorry but please understand the d-pad on the xbox360 would not let my moves come out and the triggers would never work so i just gave up and took the honorable way out and tried. but i know a lot of you probably wanted to see a finals between me and the winner spyro(i think thats how you spell his name) but you have to understand it was the rules and i had to fallow by it and i had to end up in 3rd place
c-royd no matter what happened i still consider you to be a friend, and my brother just wanted to see a good way of ending the night so don’t worry about him.
