Christmas is coming and POWNZ faithfully remembers all the time and commitment all you guys have given us. In celebration of this we will be hosting a FREE, you heard it, FREE, day of casuals/community organized events for SFIV.
**What does this mean? It means you can come to POWNZ pay NO venue fee (this applies to everyone! no l33t or n00b memberships apply here) to play SFIV. **
Hold on, it gets even better! If you guys want to run a big money match or 5v5 we’ll even post it up on livestream and commentate on the match!

Cost: FREE FOR ALL

Now when you say “FREE” do you really mean FREE this time?
Also, is this only “Free” for Pownz members, or can people that perhaps have not paid to renew their annual fees get into it also?
I am asking first this time because I’m not walking for 20 minutes this time to find out that “Free” meant that I had to pay $10 and that “Free Pizza, Pop and Cake” was just Pizza and Pop that was free for some and not others.
Chipter it appears you have some personal issues in regards to your response. It appears you have trouble reading. It is okay, many adults have this challenge and I would like to let you know that you are not alone.
Reading is an essential life skill. Although many of us take it for granted there are millions of less fortunate individuals, not unlike you who are unable to access the resources to learn such an important skill.

I will confirm that this is free event, it is a thank you to the community that has supported us so well. There will be 2 other events dedicated to 2 other communities (modern warfare and smash brothers), whom have given a lot to us and its our way of giving back. the only restrictions to this event is the time. But with that aside this is our way of saying thank you to all the players who have supported us this 2009 year.
My problem is last time you said something was FREE it fucking wasn’t.
I walked all the way down there thinking it was free to arrive there and the staff is like “uhh. what?”. I’m just double checking to make sure you know what you’re talking about before you post something as fact. And I wasn’t the only one either.
I dont’ wanna act like a total scumbag but can we at least run sfiv for like 5 dolla ? I think its great that you’re running a free event, but without prizes there still isnt incentive for ppl to reach.

I’m with Teddy in that I think it’s a great idea that still needs a marginal draw. If this was something advertised only to Hamilton/Stoney Creek I think it’d be great as a way to get everyone out who don’t want to pay venue fees for casual games. However, for the players who are driving ranging from 1/2 hour away to nearly 2 hours for the far east end, you’re going to want at least some kind of prize as a draw whether a low buy in tourney or a set giveaway.
BTW can we at least keep this set in stone?
