When is RXS.Russel.Wang.JS.Lock Available for a Test Run at Sogo?! It wouldnt be much, but just to make sure we can have everything organized and convenient for everyone (Screen Setups, Seating, Viewing, Food Areas, Space for Bathroom users).
Also we have to meet up (or talk via email) about what who will fill in which individual Roles there.
The Good news is I get off as early as possibly 330-400 So I can make a good portion of the tournament, but I don’t know if I’ll be in though. We’ll see how timing works out.
Also we should designate 1-2 individuals to collect Venue fee/Tourney Fee. Sort of a Pre Reg. This person would likely be someone less involved in the tournament (Money Gurl JS?!?! Emily Chris?)
Also there are other tidbits to go over in order to keep the manager happy.
Also someone should be designated as an equipment person, just to make sure we keep track and dont lose anything. Like anyone that brings a stick, should have a designated area to keep it. It is inevitable something will go missing, lets prevent this.

You pay 5 bucks flat for venue. If you end up tanking $20 at the bar over the time you spend there, show Dinoz your bill and you get you fiver refunded.

Everyone pays $10 venue fee up front. Assuming you spent no money the rest of the day, that money would be given to the bar in order to cover cost of you using their resources.

If you spend $20 in food/drinks WITHIN THE BAR then your venue fee will be waived. You have to present the organizers with the receipt of purchase at which point your venue fee will be reimbursed to you.
To put this in perspective, if you elect to only pay the venue fee but end up eating/drinking one meal for like $10 it’s a break even but there’s no real value in it. You can spend $30 up front, get $20 in food/drinks and get the $10 handed back to you. It’s completely worth the players while to spend the $20 at the sports bar over the course of the day rather than drop $10 and then another $10 either within the bar or outside it.

Anyways, as for the money situation, I am currently making a spreadsheet that will track:
venue fees paid / refunded
tournament fees collected for SF4, SC2, STHD.
If the other organizers don’t mind, I think it is a better idea to have 1 person collect ALL the money in a pool.
When all fees are collected, the pots will be distributed accordingly and the master excel file can be transfered to the other laptops of the respective directors and the bracket software can be run accordingly.
