how do i delete it?

Iā€™d just like to see his original MMX1 costume with the rounded shoulders and different buster.
MM Maverick Hunter X Zero

I would love to see a MMZ costume. I use the ā€œAxlā€ color on the basis that it looks more like MMZ in some regards.

What are some good ways of DHCing FROM zero with tron and deadpool as my other teammates? I find it very easy to DHC to zero especially with tron, but i cant find a way to DHC from him, which is really bad because he is my point character.

What are some good combos in his shadow mode?

Zero Point: Match Start

So Iā€™m wondering what you guys use as a first attack on fight.

I usually try to go for a crossover :d::h:, unless he tries to cross himself.
If heā€™s pressing upon me a lot, I might use assist and Hiekyaku to teleport and start the combo.

Whatā€™s worked for you?

Iā€™d actually like to hear what other people have to say as well since I canā€™t seem to find a really good opener myself. Iā€™ve tried starting out with variations of light attacks, but they are all too slow compared to some of the faster characters so itā€™s unsafe. Sometimes I will try to jump over their head right before the match starts and do heavy for a crossup, but thatā€™s gimmicky. My safest bet is to just block then see what my opponent mashes in the beginning, and punish accordingly. One wrong move in the beginning and Zero could easily lose half his lifebar.

Zero is my bread & butter, so I really donā€™t like using him as the point character. I think he works better coming in when you already have your opponent ready to preasure. Heā€™s just too risky as the point to me. When I was using him as the point, I would zone with his projectiles or block so I could punish. Safest bet imo, and you gotta be safe with low health.

Yeah, Iā€™m finding myself starting with full pressure every time. But since I donā€™t know my opponent, it doesnā€™t give me time to really check him out. And if I wait, he doesnā€™t take being pressured very well, I find.

walk towards and grab all day

I was thinking that maybe I could start with Zero, do Sougenmou and tap out to someone else to work point.
That has the disadvantage of possibly having some pressure at the beginning, but it might be worth the super assist.

a good :d::df::f::atk: works for me. Sometimes I try to do like a tiger knee :f::d::df::l: to cross-up and go in for a good combo starter afterwards. Go to frameadvantagedotcomā€™s page on youtube and watch evil rashaanā€™s ā€œin the labā€ video. He goes over some really good tactics with Zero. Also remember that Zero is really good with movement period be it that he can fly, air dash back and forwards, if you do :qcf::l: that stalls him in the air too. I guess overall that zoning and baiting at the start of battle is good (also due to his low health), and using so air shenanigans also seem like a pretty useful tactic.

P.S.: Also you can charge his charge fireball in the air by holding done :l: a little longer after doing :qcf::l: in the air. Its pretty cool

shippuga or a grab to start off if he/she approaches u in the countdown
if he or she is moving away from me during the count down, hyperblast, charge forward -> shippuga, or hadangeki to start off

how do you guys deal with storms broken ass ice super? chip damage kills zero quick and when storm at the top of screen its like i have no option lols ima test it out in training mode tomorrow, just figured out how to use record and playback

X-Factor. And if you have the meter you can use Genmuzero to break through it

This. It works against 90% of fools online.

yeah x factor is the last option, im addicted to using deadpools x factor to finish off zoning chars but thanks a lot

Hey guys. Im new to MvC and I really like Zero (Iā€™ve been running Zero at point, Chris at second, and Wesker at final for my primary team).
Questions:

What do you all suggest is a good position for Zero in a team?
Since im playing on the D-pad, will I be able to do great aerial movements like on a joystick?
What do you suggest should be my focus when practicing with Zero?

P.S.: How do you TK on a D-Pad lol?

Post away!!!

hey mikeb2010,

I play Zero/Amaterasu/Akuma
I use Zero as point because heā€™s the most psychologically debilitating on my team  You can mix him up with assists and teleports really easily, and his combos are long.
You can do work Zero easily with a gamepad. I play with a pad and no issues.
I think Zero is useless unless you know the combos, practice doing aerial combos properly. If you can get OTG-assists moves to work as well, then youā€™ll have something worth fearing. If not, he doesnā€™t do enough damage to really put the smack on.

It may depend on your team and how you want your DHCs to setup but Iā€™d say heā€™s good on either point or second. Not convinced heā€™s a good final character

He doesnā€™t have any air or ground movements that are difficult to perform

As with any offensive character, mixups are important. It appears the most effective way to mix people up with Zero is by using his horizontal command dashes to cross through ambiguously, since heā€™s vulnerable during the dash itā€™s important to use it in conjunction with an assist to cover you or during Sougenmu. Itā€™s already pretty hard to block in this game so itā€™s a tactic thatā€™s hard to defend against. Just mess about with stuff like that in training

Itā€™s not so important now but since Zero doesnā€™t do much in the way of damage I expect in the future itā€™ll be important to learn his Z-Buster relaunch combos also. These are probably easier to perform on stick since you can easily use your fingers to switch charges but they are certainly possible on pad with a slightly modified control layout.

Do the motion of the attack followed by :ub:, :u: or :uf: + :atk:

Good moves to TK are Sentsuizan, M. Hienkyaku and M. Raikousen

Question about unblockables

I use zero, deadpool, and ammy, with morrigan on the side. In morriganā€™s astral vision hyper, all you have to do is block the real morrigan and it blocks everything.

My question is, that I set up and zero block string with l m h f+h and command dash through as I call out ammyā€™s cold star assist; in order for it to be an unblockable, does the high and low hits have to be on the same side for the unblockable to work ? Or can they block this mixup by treating it as morriganā€™s astral vision and just block my zero ?
