Does anyone use 9632369 for lightning loop? I am finding it a lot easier than 632369 for consistency. Just need to time the start for when the jump is possible, then input during the jump frames.

Try command dashing down with L Hienkyaku then call Wesker, or if youā€™re at jump height (not super jump) just keep mashing Wesker and then come down with H or land and do whatever ground combo.

I started play Zero this week and Iā€™m having problems with his BnB. Whatā€™s the timming for j.lvl 3 Buster -> Lightning Dive (j.dp+L)? I should cancel the Buster when the shot comes out? When it hits? Is not it a cancel?

Anyone have any tips on how to land the first Raikousen after the Sougenmu leading into the lightning loop like jump height or any slight waiting periods?

You donā€™t do lightning, you Sougenmu, JUMP BACK, release lv3. Buster then L Raikousen.

Who found out about/developed LL first?

At the beginning of vanilla, many players discussed that some kind of big combo could be possible with Sougenmu but nobody really tried anything. I always knew Raikouzen had infinite hitstun, and that something cuold be possible if you TKā€™d the lightnings, but at the time I gave up and thought it was impossible to do with my execution.

Later, BlackRagna made a video showing how you can set up the loop with an assist and that the TK lightnings did connect after each other if done low enough. And, there you go.

I see, so it was already there even in vanilla. Except itā€™s easier to set it up now, with the Buster cancel. Thanks for the info!

I remember there being lots of speculation and worry that they would take the LL away in umvc3. It was enough that I didnā€™t bother to learn it in vanilla. Then umvc3 comes out and they made it both easier to setup and perform!

Honestly, if they ever update the game again and nerf Zero, the lightning loop will probably be the first to go. I have no idea how they would do that, I hope itā€™s nothing stupid like removing the soft knockdown.

Edit: There isnā€™t anything anyone can ever do. And Zero is pretty awful. Have you seen Vergil? That guy builds almost a bar looping swords? Shit is broke.

Better not to suggest any thing at all, CapCops will take one look at what the Zero players want and take all the hideous suggestions on board.

Zero and Viper could get a bit nerf only and they would still be godlike.

Iā€™ve said this many times. If you complain about Zero, donā€™t tell me Vergil, Spencer, Wesker, Dormammu, Viper, Doom, Magneto, etc. are ā€œokayā€. The same in MVC2, how the fuck can you complain about Magneto if you play Cable?!

Magneto does what he does from the word FIGHT!!! . Cable needs meter to really ruin your day. Heā€™s not free or nothing but AHVBx3 does cost three bars. More to use alpha counter into it.

Also fuck everyone in your list except spencer and Doom. Those two are not in the same league as Dorm, Mags, etc. They are top tier in salt though. Random hit is dead character?!?

You could nerf Zeroā€™s damage during Sougenmu.

They could fix his SOLO lightning loop by maybe making the delay on the buster lvl 3 longer (during the sougenmu startup animation), so that you canā€™t do sougenmu into buster right away.

i donā€™t think reducing the damage will cut it, esp. since you can repeat the loop after it runs out anyways.

people are annoyed by being looped, not by the dmg. the loop should probably go.
