Before this thread gets closed, I’d like to address this to the lurkers more than anything. At escoben’s first session, Tyram and I were very friendly with him. I gave him tips during his matches, told him a little about the players that I know and play with, let him know that I’d try to get him spots at any upcoming open sessions, and gave him some tips about his upcoming first tournament as an organizer. Tyler did the same, joking around and offering snacks and etc. This may sound like a joke, but I’m completely serious; we were very friendly towards escoben and this is absolute news to me. I don’t understand how he couldn’t feel welcome.
Do not get the impression that players in the community are so clique-ish to the point that we will shun anyone that tries to come in. If you want to get to know us, come to sessions, introduce yourself, and make some friends.

What the hell happened to this thread? I knew I would be out of town so I haven’t even checked in this thread for a few days and now everyone is pissed off and there will be no more tournys! :wtf: All because some random guy was trying to setup money matches and didn’t show? I hope this blows over and we can get back to what really matters and that’s friendly competition with others you might not ever get to meet in person. I hope we can continue the billards tourny or something else to keep the 916 (530 in my case) going.
I’m trying to secure more venues, so don’t count out 916 tourneys just yet. We still have The City and may have Fish and Chips again in the future, so…
