I got you on a $1k MM. I’m not Creep23, I’m Newtybar. The best BSer in SOCAL, PERIOD.
Hahahahahaha
i already said in this thread for everyone to chill the fuck out romo, i said “i have nothing to do with these MM and they have no part in my tournament”. I’m gonna say this now, i am not dudes keeper. i can tell him to calm down but he wont listen he will do what he wants to do. i was hosting these for fun and last night just was not as fun as the first one. i’ll admit it was mine (ill say more mine then robs) and robs fault not spreading you guys out more but there is not much you can do with only 23 people and im gonna disregard a few things last night that really pissed me off that some one had the balls to look at me in the face and say. dont ask me what it was or who it was because i will not say, it has no place here. Last night because we could i allowed casuals and MM to be done. some people came up to me and asked before hand if they could and i thank them for that. some didnt ask but ill chalk it up to they saw others playing and assumed it was ok. just a update technically the venue was free because John came up to me and told me to give rob the venues 23 bucks. even if john had not done that i would have gave rob half of mine.
now comes the thought of do i want to host another one if im gonna sit here and have someone call me negligent? i could have become negligent and called this thing off when i noticed i wasnt getting better from the shittacular cough ive had for a few weeks, but i didnt. I chugged half a bottle of dayquil and came down and said nothing. then because sitting next to a open door i woke up feeling even worse. i could have said “NO MONEY MATCHES” because i was seeing why i never brought up it causes nothing but problems. after i talk to john on tuesday about the next one ill decide where i stand on the tournament all together. i try to double and triple check everything in this tournament to make sure everyone get what they should even if i makes me look like a idiot. thats why when i count out the money i count it out three times to make sure. thats why when people come up to me i asked them 4 times to make sure the right person got the credit for a win. i even ignored my ''if they dont report who won to anyone ill give them a warning and then DQ them" for the few people who didnt take the 10 seconds to walk up or find rob and say “hey i won can we play the next match with this person because were both ready” and just went on there own, even if i expected better from them. I try to accommodate all of you guys when i shouldn’t, when i have people telling me i shouldent, i do it anyways. maybe i shouldnt any more and tell you all to suck it up. it seems like people are taking that up as a weakness.
like i said before these MM are not a part of me, the venue and especially the tournament. what happens to them i could give a fuck less. if all the drama and bullshit is the cause of the low turn out then i will have to ban them plain and simple and and maybe that wont make me a negligent tournament host.
eh, i really don’t like jumping directly into drama (other than side trolling), but…
this creep23 time isn’t even worth the time to respond to. sure, the way he post pisses people off…but face it:
1)he sucks at the game (see youtube vid)
2)he calls for $MM amount that only top players would agree to
3)he’s not even going to show up
i’m gonna lay out it for everyone.
fact:
-escoben, again, has no control over what this creep23 guy does. the best he can do is tell him to stop
-that doesn’t stop the community from disliking the tourney because of people that the tourney organizer is associated with
-creep23 is a random nobody that is likely going to get himself banned with or without any fuel to the flame.
result:
-we lose this tourney venue due to some shitty personal issue with someone who doesn’t even show his face
or
-we ignore creep23, and continue to enjoy another place for competition to gather.
what i’m going to do is go ahead and say that creep23 is a random scrub that can’t back up his own trash talking. he can call me out on this, and i won’t give a damn cuz if i did, we’d dance around the whole “LOL, NO U” trolling for days.
i honestly don’t give a shit for shitty trolls like this since they generally get themselves banned stupidly fast. but i don’t like how the sac community is potentially going to lose a tourney venue thanks to a troll.
no u
lol this is funny all you nerds gettin pissed off about a video game
@DaWhiteShadow lol really you would do all that? I feel sorry that you have an unfulfilling life.
@thxyoutoo cmon dog seriously? first you should be banned for calling me nigga but you wont. 2nd dont try to step like you are hard.
@magnus02 nah sorry i’m not going to Davis… that town sucks. | and you’re going to threaten me by banning me from tournys and SRK? damn that’s gangsta.
@vasAZNion13 I knew someone would pull that video of me playing TKK 1. I barely started using balrog when my main is Sagat 2. I was using a controller. so stop running your mouth without knowning all the facts.
and im keeping this out of escoben’s thread out of respect from now on. he shouldn’t be punished because of my actions. you should be thanking him for taking the time to organize these events for you people.
As opposed to some nerd who tries to talk big on the internet betting his mom’s coin purse against dudes who could beat him in a Rog mirror while playing on a half-busted Guitar Hero controller, then pussies out because his sad attempt at self-validation went too far. Damn these other dudes are a pathetic bunch. You showed them.
now that im actually awake i noticed this.
1: I do not get paid well enough to do this, money was never a reason to do these. i was doing these because this was fun and what i got to see, good matches
2: the “boycott” threat doesnt not hurt me one bit. it hurts the venue and the players in the tournament that much like me could give a fuck less about this or any money match that does not include them.
3: if you were to go as so far to “boycott” me as a person for not playing creep23s surrogate internet father and telling him to as you guys so eloquently put it “shut the fuck up or come out”. i never make it a priority to make it to any session plain and simple because the sessions you guys have are not fun to me. i play for fun only, i dont need to play in tournament, dont need to play in MM, or hold these to make money. this was all just for fun to me, and right now you guys are taking the fun away from me.
all of you guys are attacking me more right now for one reason and one reason only…im the one out there, he isnt and i know him. im the easier target for the fact that i am there behind that laptop bending over backwards trying to accommodate everyone there and biting my tongue when i do try and it STILL isn’t good enough for you. i don’t appreciate people trying to bait me into MM by saying shit thinking I’m Marty Mc Fly and calling me chicken will get me to do what you want. i don’t play MM at all in anything, even if i know for a fact i would win. I never claim to be the “Best (insert character here) ever”. i never go up to someone and say strait to there face “i can beat you”. yet whats going on right now feels like your treating me like the one that said it. i started hosting these as a means to get deeper into the “community” and to get better. It seems more deeper i get into the this the more im not feeling it. i’d love to say thanks to all the people im really cool with but they know who they are.
as it stands right now this “boycott” threat makes me lean more to the “fuck this couch” side of this but if John wants me to do another one then ill do it or show someone else what little i know about tournaments and warn them what there getting into. I didnt have to loan out my NIECES fightstick to anyone besides GG, Weepeel, Dangelo,Rob or anyone else kind enough to politely ask. GG, Weepeel, dangelo, and rob i told before hand they could use it, and the people who asked if they could, thank you for asking. instead i let people use it without telling them they lacked the common courtesy to ask to use it and said nothing. yet here we go i get the super awesome threat of boycott like i am the one everyone is out for blood for because im not playing internet parent to someone.
until i talk to john about the next one its TBA, until then i deciding on if i should set up casuals for my own with people i wouldent mind coming to my house to play with my friends. GG i decided i wanna throw viper in the mix and i could use some pointers from you…plus i still have your surge protector lol because you keep forgetting it.
hey… what if creep23 is really BLANKA707… O.o oooooooooooo didnt dink about dat did ya guys ^.^
LOL. Long is right.
Time to ignore the troll. Shoulda listened to Allen =[
Edit: I am so gangsta. rawr.
so0o… i heard Korea went on a rampage and destroyed everyone. den lost to ryan =/
you don’t know shit. it’s not hard to run a small tournament. you just didn’t care enough to run this event well. nor were you very cooperative when 4 people offered to help you. you’re LOL YA’LL NIGGAZ SHOULD THANK ME FOR THIS TOURNAMENT attitude is pretty shitty as well. Without the support of us you’ll be running a 10 man tournament full of nobodies. Good luck with your next tiny ass tourney.
I initially wasn’t going to post, but after some thought, I decided to reply to this because to leave something hanging is unfair to the parties involved.
Please don’t use the “I don’t get paid well enough to do this” excuse. The majority of tournament organizers do NOT do it for the money, and often run it at some sort of monetary loss to themselves. Although you said “money was never a reason to do these,” why did you take a cut of the pot? These tournaments may be just fun for you, but you have to think of what they are to the players as well.
I understand that you run tournaments to have fun; I hear you. So do I. But you need to understand that, once again, your tournaments exist because of the players in the community. Speaking for myself as a player here - when I feel we are disrespected or misunderstood, I don’t get very good feelings about a tournament/venue/what have you. As such, I don’t want to be involved with x/y again, hence the “boycott threat.” At least Korea spoke up and said something, rather than just saying nothing and making judgements. Anyway, it’s a bit arrogant to say the players don’t care about our “boycott threat” or the money matches; have you asked them?
This again goes back to the whole community aspect. I don’t think you understand that many of our core players don’t play Street Fighter solely for the money or what have you. We play because we develop friendships, camraderie, etc etc with each other. When you have someone disrespecting us and the community, in YOUR tournament thread, without doing anything about it… well, it makes it seem like you don’t care about the community. The players. Which, again, are the reason why you even have a tournament in the first place. You may remember me emphasizing this over and over and over again when you were first asking me about creating this tournament.
What makes the sessions and the tournaments any different? Once again, when I read “this was all just for fun to me,” I’m thinking you’re not understanding why we have issues with seeding/why you’re not making an attempt to stop the disrespect from creep23/what have you. We expect certain things out of tournaments and TOs and again, it is your responsibility to respect our expectations as players in your tournament.
Solely speaking for myself here - my main issue is with the fact that you don’t seem to understand that the players have always been here, always come first in tournaments, and have been here long before you organized this tournament. You didn’t want to seed players and complained that we were making things difficult for you, and that when you moved one player, you had to move another, then another, then another, etc etc etc. For one thing, you got some of the player’s area codes wrong. That probably messed up the initial seeding when you made the bracket. For another thing, for some strange reason, players from the same region were facing each other, and when you were asked to move them, I was told you were uncooperative. A tournament organizer who is trying to do a good job will be more worried about doing a good job rather than having a “tch, I run these tournaments, they go my way, and you guys should thank me for this” attitude.
Regarding creep23, I just thought you should’ve let him know to stop being an ass or kindly get lost, especially because you are friends. But I can see why you didn’t, because maybe you didn’t understand what these events/etc mean to us.
Not really sure what you’re getting at here…
Ne, so if you’re trying to get deeper into the community, then why aren’t you trying to understand it by taking part in our events and getting to know our players, instead of running a tournament solely for your own fun? These are your words, so…
I’ll be frank with you. We don’t need tournament organizers like you if you continue to have that attitude. I have run weeklies/biweeklies for 6 months now, and the closest thing to an issue I had was a player arguing that I should use 360s. While I may not have extensive experience running them, I have attended and played in even more tournaments and every single time I’ve talked to the TOs, (both major and local tourneys), they enjoy running tournaments, even if they’re stressful or expensive or what have you. If you don’t like it, don’t do it.
Say something about it, then. If you don’t like it, say something. If you don’t want someone using your stick, say so.
We aren’t out for blood against you. We just don’t like feeling disrespected.
All that being said, perhaps you should stop running tournaments if you really feel the way you said you did. But if you want to try again, I suggest taking a break, letting things blow over, and giving people a chance to give you a chance again. Take a step back and understand why people travel 10 hours in a car to go to a silly video game tournament for three days. Take a step back and understand why people offer their homes up to fellow players because they share the common thread of playing juvenile fighting games. Take a step back and try to understand the community, and maybe you’ll understand why we felt the way we did.
I’d also like to say I don’t appreciate being called a douchebag behind my back. Maybe you call everyone one, but you don’t know me like that. So… yes. Maybe get to know me first?
And, on a closing note, I don’t think anyone hates you. Some might be irritated, that’s for sure. I am. But people aren’t unreasonable. Just think about what was said. If you didn’t like your experience as a TO, don’t run them. We don’t want unwilling TOs with a grudge against the players. If you want to try again, learn a bit more about the community before you do so.
i never said anyone should be thanking me, creep said that. once again it feels you guys are hitting me because he didnt come out and im there. i never ment shit to come out as if i said you should be thanking me i said it isnt fair that you guys are coming at me because im not his keeper and he does what he wants. like i said before i moved the brackets around as much as i could to spread you guys around but theres only so much i can do with only 23 people and some of you guys are bound to come up against each other early. any more shuffling then i did wouldn’t fair to these somebodies AND as you so nicely said about everyone else the nobodies. i guess that doesn’t matter now it seems you guys are gonna boycott me now. because im damned if i do and im damned if i dont.
Read post above.
note to self: never ever piss off romeo. He will gigaton punch me.
also romeo for srk president
Disclaimer: you can all read this or not or make jokes about how i wrote a essay because HEY its them internetz lulz.
if it had came up i would have said it to you directly. i never say something to someone i wouldent say to the person. my friend joey would verify that if he could because also you did not get to know me either
doesnt matter if you guys hate me or not, that isn’t important. im washing my hands of this. there will be no break, there will be no next tournament. i never said anything about “wondering why people come to play a silly video game” that was “implied” creeps post but thats neither here nor there right now. the only thing i didnt do was keep the “somebodies” away from other “somebodies” good enough and that accidentally gave the “nobodies” a chance to make it to at least the second round. Because when i set up the brackets everyone there is on the same level to me and anyone should have a chance at winning this. oh and not tell someone ive known 7 years to calm down more then once. your right we’re all here to make friends and what it boils down to is do i see myself being friends with some of you outside of street fighter? The answer that comes back from my mind is a resounding no. which is why I dont go to sessions in the first place. tho a few of you guys your cool in my book, and just to be safe that doesnt mean i have a grudge against anyone else not mentioned later…just so we’re clear.
I do not have a grudge against any of the players, that much like a lot of stuff by you guys guessed was assumed. as for the fightstick matter its not a big deal really just people should have the thought to ask since it was not theres but whatever if it broke i would have done like the first time and bought a new one, not like there expensive. by your post it is abundantly clear by the problem of assumptions and misunderstandings that i will no longer do this and no longer wanted to do these. putting to together the pros and cons, the ends do not justify the means. after the first one i was happy with how it turned out, the second not so much. lastly even if this is not true if i was to show up to any sessions i would feel very unwelcome by everyone there due to how tight knit this community is, id expect nothing less. plus no one made me feel welcome at the first session and that set the tone for the whole idea of other sessions for me.
im still gonna be posting in the show off your fightstick, rage quiters pics, ssfiv predictions, and low tier character MVC2 tournament thread but thats about it. I already told a few people they might want to distance there self from me just in case so no one bothers them with this. I will never give up playing street fighter over this, ill still play no matter what, no one can take that away. I really wanted to play your ryu too tyram, but looks like that wont happen now. I had actually talked to some people early Saturday morning who were interested about taking over these and i emailed them the link here and they changed there mind. maybe i can talk john into hosting these himself but who knows ill tell him when i see him monday, maybe he is up for it. see here i go again…still trying why i dont know.
guys like GG, Weepeel, Tyram, Dangelo, and anyone else who i was having some random ass convos with, sucks that i might not ever get to play you ever, well when i get that ps3 maybe i will. Me singling them out does not in no way mean i have a gudge for anyone not mentioned just so no one assumes anything. much like consumer products i guess from now on ill have to place disclaimers all over everything i say and type. tho once i get these casual sessions underway at my pad soon i will be inviting you guys if you would like to come by and play. this also does not mean i have a grudge against anyone i dont invite.
im taking the conan o’brian approach with this, just stepping out.
if you feel you have something important to say to me, send it in a PM because i wont be reading this thread, but feel free to continue on with whatever you feel you need to say here, i just wont ever see it. tho i am most certainly sure someone will say “thats fine we dont need you anyways” for the “lulz” and that’s fine.
yeeeeeeeeeeah
This shit is more entertaining than the Jersey shore but no fist pumping cuz this has turned into one bad situation.
pm from creep
WE GOT A SITUATION.
