Well, I didn’t play any matches after installing the patch until today. My first match was lag-free. Everything seemed to be like an offline versus match. In the last round for that match, there was a little lag, like for a second, but it could be that someone joined the lobby, because it was weird to have sudden lag when the whole match was normal.
For the rest of the matches, some had bad, real bad lag. I joined this guy, who picked Robert, Terry and Kyo, and choose SIMPLE mode… >_<. The match was lagging so much I almost lost.
The best thing Ignition could do at this point is stop publishing for SNK. They’re only making themselves look bad for having to lie and say “we and SNK want to hear your input” to save SNK’s face.
EDIT: I’m pretty sure Ignition actually cares. I’m sure they feel embarrassed about this. But SNK clearly doesn’t, why should they have to put up with SNK’s BS repeatedly, and the hatemail that comes with dealing with SNK? Seriously, they could easily drop SNK, and pick up another company with a solid game that would like to get published outside of Asia, and would actually put in the effort to make sure the rest of the world can really enjoy their games.
It’s like a old butler putting up with some rich snooty kids bullshit… Shane should call them and cuss them out
Ignition legitimately does care. I had the chance to meet the folks of Ignition during E3 and they’re good people. Honestly, though, everyone is going a little bit nuts with the whole “SNK hates us” shit.
They could have made all sorts of shitty, low-cost graphics, put the game out and most of you still probably would’ve bought it. Like I said before:
So just man up.
Btw, happy official street date, everybody. Right now is the time you should be considering criticizing Ignition or SNK for any of this. Because you shouldn’t even have the game yet.
Are you serious?
if they can’t afford to port it right, don’t bother porting it. if they don’t have time to port it right after all the lead time for the actual game itself, don’t port it.
Oh, and it’s not like any other company has a hand drawn game out on the market right now with decent netcode anyway, oh wait…
SNK already looks stupid enough for every single XBLA port they’ve botched up so far. This could’ve been a redeeming point for them. They failed. It’s on them. Not Ignition. Not us, because we should man up because Spudly says “zOMG HAND DRAWN SPRAITZ!”
Yeah, man up and fucking endure the brief amount of time between now and when you’re actually entitled to bitch. You know…some time after the date the game was supposed to come out.
You completely missed the point on the rest, btw.
Seriously, if you’re going to bitch about anything, you should be bitching about how Gamestop forced an incomplete product into the market. More importantly, you should be praising SNK and/or Ignition on high for doing the hard part right.
The hard part being that they released a port that isn’t a glitchy piece of shit.
In all honesty I want to hear from SNKP and not from Ignition, all do respect to Shane and the Ignition staff for working they’re asses off but real talk they’re just the middle man, they distribute the game and nothing more… this whole fuck up is clearly SNKP’s fault, because when there’s a problem you go to the source… you don’t go idly by and half-ass it just to point fingers because it’s easier, I spent $60 bones on this game so I want some answers, it’s not the fact that the game is un-finished that gets me… it’s the balls to say it’s a new game and not meet basic new game standards like I dunno… a good FUCKING netcode :grrr:, I’m starting to believe it’s not that SNKP is a small company… I think it’s because they’re fucking stupid and can’t make basic business decisions so we as fans must feel obligated to pull they’re weight… not gonna fucking happen :bluu:
and spudly stop hatin’ on Missing Person because while he didn’t buy the game yet his opinion matters just as much as ours, because
A. He was already gonna buy but because of the crap netcode atm he’s still on the fence about it
and
B. This isn’t the 1st but 3rd crucial fuck up on SNK’s part to prove they’re self in the next gen online scene so the hating is pratically essential now, besides if we blindly follow such screws ups it will only encourage such things to continue, and the difference between being a fan and a fanboy it to point out that they fucked up… not give them the “OK”
People are dumping this game in DROVES. This is the first game I’ve ever seen, that on launch day, every gamestop within 25 miles of me has used versions in stock. It’s kind of ridiculous. I was hoping they would pull their shit together after they announced the patch but I guess I was wrong. A shitty launch means less people are likely to pick up this game, and the less people who own and play a game online, the worse the online experience gets. They can patch the netcode as much as they want at this point, but when there are like 10 people playing online, you’re gonna get shitty matches regardless. I’m gonna hold on to my money for tekken, I don’t even like tekken but there’s no way it can get worse than this. It’s funny because some guy here was like “BB level patch, confirmed.” I spit my drink out when I read that shit lol.
First, they need to hire a translator.
But man… No patch today?
And if it wasn’t for Gamestop releasing it early, THIS GAME WOULD STILL BE “INCOMPLETE,” you half-wit! This game is still incomplete, and they patched it!
No, they’ll just grab some upper management penciljockey who just talks circles around the questions while answering none of them, pretty much like any high profile court case.
Except the preceedings in this case end in the opposing party (Us) getting nothing out of it and are forced to pay child support for a child we wont ever see :chainsaw:
Fixed.
^Oh, I see what ya did thar lol
Once again…
THE GAME SHOULD NOT EVEN BE OUT YET. THE BOX ART DOES NOT EVEN APPEAR NEXT TO YOUR AVATAR ON XBOX LIVE! THEY SHOULD HAVE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO PATCH THEIR NETCODE, BUT THEY DID NOT BECAUSE THE GAME WAS RELEASED TOO EARLY.
Honestly, for all you know, Blazblue could’ve had ten patches before it got the great netcode it has now. You just didn’t see that because Gamestop didn’t release it a week early.
And you don’t know if they have a patch in the makings that will give it great netcode. And speculating to the contrary is baseless.
Then apparently you need to acknowledge the fact that literally every single game that has an online mode was incomplete when you bought it, with the exception of Dead or Alive 4. In all seriousness, do you just not know how this shit works? If you don’t, I can break it down for you. I mean god damn, have you just never bought a video game before? Or did you just not notice how every single one makes you patch it the first time you pop it in?
Except, once again, they haven’t really screwed up yet. Because you weren’t really supposed to get the game yet.
And I’ve openly pointed out SNK’s faults with recent games. It’s just that this isn’t one of them.
Are you stupid? If it wasn’t for us complaining WHEN THE GAME WAS PRE-RELEASED BY GAMESTOP, this would STILL BE A PROBLEM RIGHT NOW. OH AND GUESS WHAT…oh wait, I guess you can’t guess what, you have to have a brain to do that, IT’S STILL A PROBLEM!
Are you stupid? Do you realize why we don’t know how many patches Arc made to BlazBlue’s netcode when they were testing this game? BECAUSE ARC SYSTEM WORKS WASN’T STUPID ENOUGH TO RELEASE AN INCOMPLETE GAME IN THE FIRST PLACE! They made sure they got it right on the first try (2nd for PS3, but they were still pretty much spot on). SNK on the other hand has had 5 tries with the same stupid neetcode, and guess what (Oh wait, I forgot again…)? Still isn’t working!
Are you stupid? It’s SNK, of course it’s not going to be great. And since it’s SNK, and they have a history of this, I highly doubt it’s baseless. Maybe you should grab a dictionary, and learn what the word “baseless” means.
Please stop talking. You ARE stupid. I’m actually ashamed to say FFVIII is my favorite video game because I don’t want there to even be a remote possibility that I could be associated with you.
Well the forecast tommorow is looking pretty grim and my magic 8 ball is giving me the same message so here’s hoping for a magical patch that will heal all wounds and cease all bitching , and for the record I bought the game and don’t plan on trading it in so don’t fuck with me I’m just saying what’s coming to mind and it just so happens to be true :bluu:
I’m seconding the Blazblue point.
It did take 2 patches before Online was decent, didn’t it?
360 online was perfect out of the box for me. Don’t remember there being a patch when I first put it in or not, as I was half awake when I started playing, but regardless, I know one thing. Arc System Works, a company smaller than SNK, did it 100x better than SNK ever will.
Weren’t they pre-release patches or sumthin’? because I got mine on the reserved release date (a day before, on Tuesday) popped it in the 360 and it said “There’s a update for this game”
?? edit: I’m going to bed, it’s 4 in the morning and I’m too pissed off to continue, I really really hope there’s a patch in the morning :bluu:
I don’t know, the game isn’t out here.
But the thing is, you got Blazblue when it was released, people have got KoFXII earlier than Ignition thought they would, if they really do have a Dedicated server plan ready, or planned a release-day Online patch, it explains everything.
I think it’s at least worth waiting maybe, a week after release before anyone starts yelling out “I HATE YOU SNKP I HOPE YOU DIE, I HOPE YOU GO BROKE AND HAVE ALL YOUR STAFF LIVING ON THE STREET!” or before anyone jumps to the immediate defense of SNKP, as well.
