update out now

…When I play KOF, i don’t play with lag. This isn’t kof lag edition, its freaken KOF12. If you think playing the game lag and all is satisfying, then go nuts, just don’t expect your playstyle to win you any real matches in tournaments and whatnot.

This may sound like bitching, well it is.

My current team is Kyo (my all time fave) Leona (A fave as well and the character I was looking most forward too playing) and Mature (whose new design caught my eye)

Here’s my problem. Kyo’s speed is pretty average and also he’s pretty powerful so even in lag I can land most of his combos.

Leona/Mature are speedy types and do less damage, Leona specifically.

I like using her speed to get in close, but so many times I’ve run into projectiles without rolling quick enough.I’ve missed short hops (Her X-caliber/V-Slasher possibility rivals Cammy’s TK Cannon strike), and also has charge moves/pressure that get’s thrown off in lag play.

Mature is almost the same way with her pressure.

I practice timings in training then go online and get screwed with these two when I know one of them could take out my opponents whole team.

I guess I can try “harder” but the fun is really wearing thin. Maybe it’s time to pick some new characters IDK.

I would say not to adjust to the lag and be optimistic that SNKP will fix the online very very soon.

Guys, I’m getting mixed messages here, so far, there WAS one update, but it didn’t fix the 360’s net play. Am I just playing people countries away from me or is the netcoding still trash?

From what I heard, when you connect online you are connecting to servers in Japan. Which is the reason why you would still have lag online even if you were playing someone in the same house on two different xbox’s and seperate accounts.

I agree. With this many complaints about the netcode, they can’t afford not to fix it.

I know it may sound crazy, but it seems to me yellow connects are preforming a lot better. Anyone who hasn’t gone on lately should check it out.

This might not be crazy for the 360, but it would for the PS3. The reason for this is:

It was said that the server everyone connected to is in Japan; meaning every connection goes to Japan and back. Ignition said that they were trying to get more servers up (I’m assuming US servers) for the 360 version of the game as soon as possible (PS3 was supposed to have more servers on launch day). So, the online could have become “magically” better if Ignition managed to get the extra 360 servers up.

They do for me (PS3 ver), I been having almost lagless fights with Yellow Bar users, still it has lag, but is nothing like before. The only bad part is that it takes up to 8 room checking to find a player with Yellow bars.
