Goddammit.
That does it.
We need to get in SNK and Ignition’s face and tell them this is not okay.

If anyones on send me an invite xbl gt is Tendersause , requirement is that you pay for internet that isn’t terribad. I had some amazing almost no lag games in ranked match even before patch so I am still going to say the majority of lag your getting is people really just have the worst internet possible.
Still happens all the time in sf4 too, if your playing grade or whatever when you get to final round its like 5 2 bar connections until you get a 3 or 4. All I ever see in koxii is red bar.
If theres nothing by the end of the day, this shit is going back one way or another.
personally I dont play red bar matches, I stick to yellow/blue and my games have been pretty good for the most part.
It takes longer to find but its worth it.
My question is are all you people having terrible lag on yellow bar matches as well?
Every now and again. I had some yellow with 0 lag-which is rare, some are choppy and the rest is freezing frame after frame.
Trying it out with the patch with Arstal a few states away and I have to say that it’s literally like night and day so far (this is after having delay with my friend upstairs on the same network!). I’m hoping that it’s not a fluke! We’ll see how things go as I play other folks.
Update: I am watching a match right now of Arstal vs. another guy who just joined the room, and while it is a bit laggy, I did notice that his connection was red just before the match started.
And…the match stops for 5 seconds to sync. Hrm. It’s an improvement, certainly. Is it where it needs to be yet? Nah, not yet.
Has the 360 update included a means to kick players out of a custom lobby? Last night I spent almost my entire gaming session dropping and recreating lobbies since red-bars kept joining and immediately readying up.
Also, could we please institute a gentleman’s agreement to NEVER mention GGPO in these threads? Every time someone brings it up I get sad.
Dropping the number of players down to 2 seems to help, as it keeps laggier folks from joining the room and mucking things up.
Because your gameplay is only going to be as good as the laggiest person in the room, and if that person is spectating they screw it up for the ones playing. At least that’s how it seems from all the tests I’ve run so far.
Im one of the guys that Tendersause has had amazing almost no lag games. I starting to think that the online is better on XBL than PSX. Has anyone here own both copies and tried it out?
Mr.Big you are correct. I have been making rooms for only 3 people could join. Make sure no one has a red bar and all the matches are very playable. XBL patch needs to come out fast!
Man I love this game, but this is by far the worst online experience I have ever had with a fighter on the new consoles.
Patch didn’t help at all
I just played a match, and it seemed fine I think what you gotta do is label your room the area your located in either the state or region you’re in. And maybe put only texasonlyNOwifinoobs at the end of it hope the room names can go that long. I’ve had 2 lag free matches so far so it is possible, and I’ve had matches that have been the worse thing I’ve ever played on this planet. I’ve just got a feeling not many have the game yet so we don’t have much competition to choose from. And it sure didn’t appear that this update was 700 mb or whatever it was on the PS3 for the Xbox 360 because it downloaded in a flash.
So far I’ve played four matches with the patch. One game was horribly input delayed, one was a little input delayed (which was vs. GhostpilotX) and two of them were actually very good. The most notable thing, though, is how I ended up getting glitched. Somebody quit on me and it returned me to the lobby. Unfortunately, I didn’t register as being in the room and it did not allow me to access the “start, withdraw, profile, return” options.
I do… because I fucking hate vector art :bluu:
I actually own it on both (well, my brother owns the PS3 version), but my PS3 is only connected to the internet by wi-fi, no wired setup. If I get the chance in the next couple days to try it online wired on the PS3, I can break it down for everyone.
Great, keep us posted.
Still lagging online with yellow bars after the x360 “patch”. Anyone in the South East US want to try some player matches to test it out. XBL: nupoe.
I’ve had the game since Friday and frankly the online is an embarrassment (Even after the patch)
The fact the people talked badly about SF4’s netcode, is laughable
Oh snap, just turned on KOF12 to practiced and I got promted for an update. It wasnt no 772MB though, it was fairly fast. Anyone have any info on this patch?
Unfortunately, that did not help me. I’ve tried goodconnections, noredbar, chicago1 (chicago was disallowed), and spent the evening restarting lobbies due to all the red bar connections who joined, many of which were from outside the USA.
Oh, and Xbox 360 game updates are required to be small by Microsoft, however the platform provides a much better development mechanism for creating updates so they don’t need to be ridiculously sized like they are on the PS3.
I had some decent matches with someone from my friends list with alot less lag than normal.
It’s not nearly full speed, god I wish it was…the game would be so fuckin godly.
