Good games tonight guys. I missed the big Fuddruckers monthly tournaments. It’s great to have motivation for training and competing. And hanging out in the process is always a lot of fun as well.
Great tournament today – big ups to all the organizers, people who contributed equipment, the out of tonwn guys and the norcal peeps who are always there. Awesome vibes today esp near the end there.
We had some serious internet issues there so I didnt get all the matches but if you want to see if you were on the stream you can check our ustream channel. It’s not th ebest quality, I had to stream at the lowest possible quality to make it happen!

I would love for you to tell me who Reno called a scrub hydro… If I know what your post refered to I have no idea how that whole rumour started but hopefully it dies before it even begins to grow. The only person I consistantly refered to as being a scrub was myself and luckily I had two good players to carry me. Ill makes a post for props in the result thread once it appears.

if i could offer a suggestion on the streaming front, i’m a computer networking grad, your ethernet cord was pretty damn long to reach where the streaming was going on and at points in it you could see some pretty nasty kinks in the wire that could very easily have been causing some attenuation on the line. if you could either move the stream station closer to your ethernet jack or if you tried a different cable in better condition you would probably see at least somewhat imporved results. (can’t say for certain since i didn’t see what you had to work with other than the cord)

oh jesus… i didn’t realize it was that bad, just moving it closer and changing out the cord probably wont completly fix that problem… i wonder if it would be possible to get either port forwarding or a dmz set up on the router at the place for the computer your trying to stream from. that would probably help a lot if you could talk the venue into that (although if you go the dmz route you will need to make sure your laptop security is top notch because otherwise that’s pretty risky)
definitely not the problem. an establishment like fuddruckers subscribes with very minimal internet because all they need it for is their registers to operate and so that their customers can check their facebooks. the company also won’t let us really touch anything in regards to ports etc because the internet there is in direct relationship to their business operations so the best they would do for us is plug in an ethernet cord after a month of us telling them we really really needed the most stable internet connection possible. not only was the internet connection .4 Mbps it was an unstable .4 Mbps and would drop down to .1 at times and just drop dead completely at other times.
anyone that streams or uses youtube can tell you that anything below 1 Mbps is pretty shitty and unusable unless your iplaywinner and know your shit. I would like to really thank Haunts for not giving up on the stream yesterday. Everything was looking really bad and there was alot of negativity going around but he definitely said fuck that I’m gunna solve these problems and make this shit work.

I thoroughly apologize to the Tekken community for not streaming top 3 like we did for HDR. Believe us we wanted to but were told we were not allowed to. I am very sorry for the unfair treatment you guys received and will do everything I can possible to make it up to you guys at Strong Style this coming weekend. Great job Thrust 07 and Vestax for running HDR tourney! I hope you will run another Fuddruckers tourney maybe as soon as next month (LA has weekly Denjin Rambats)…Maybe throw just HDR only tourney’s at that location or another. I plan on doing better next time vs chun and ryu!
