It’s been mentioned a few times here, but check Kyle’s thread in this section, he’s got a couple of great dark themes used with the Stylish plugin for Chrome and Firefox(maybe IE, not sure).</span></font><div style=“font-family: Arial, Verdana; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal;”>Is there a way to add a button to a quote to go back to the original post?  The old forum used to have that, sometimes it’s needed to find context.</div>

So… I’m the only one that has a problem with the ad-infested UI of the website?

<p><font color="#ff0000">thanks for color fonts.</font></p><p><font color="#ff0000">thanks for the wide selection of </font>:D </p><p> </p>

It’s there, or at least it’s supposed to be there. It occasionally work for me but more often it doesn’t. Kinda funny when I’ve quoted multiple people in a single post and only one of them links back.

Any way to have the search function with more options…like be able to search thread titles?<br>

It’s been like this for a while.  Definitely had the same ad layout when the forum was running on the XenForo software, and it’s been the trend for a while for the site in general now (the ads).<div style=“font-style: normal;”><br></div><div><span style=“font-style: normal;”>Without touching on the need/purpose of ads, I agree with the general sentiment that the amount and intrusiveness of the ads are absolutely obnoxious and actively contribute to increased load times of </span><i>every</i> page on the site (front page included, but that’s a separate beast).  This contributes to making for a sub-optimal user experience.</div><div style=“font-style: normal;”><br></div><div style=“font-style: normal;”>That said, if there was a way to improve upon the advertising layout while still giving SRK all the benefits that they are receiving from the current ad layout (which I assume is primarily money), that would be great.</div><div style=“font-style: normal;”><br></div><div>Unfortunately, because none of us <i>know</i> what those benefits are and the arrangements (or rather, the specifics of the arrangements), it’s impossible to provide feedback on what would be best, because we can only provide a solution based on an incomplete view of the situation.</div>

McRibs.<div><br></div><div>Does this site still have autoplay ads?  I used to let the ads go here when I logged in, but about a year back it just got way out of control.  Really don’t want to turn it off to check myself, it’s just rage inducing.</div><div>-edit-Yup, still autoplay.  That’s just plain wrong, I don’t want anything executing on my machine unless I explicitly allow it.  Back to adblock.</div>

<br><div>I’m trying to be civil and understanding in regards to these forums, as I’ve been here for close to a decade but: Mr. Puppy is not being the slightest bit over-the-top in his declaration of this being one of the worst websites on the internet. I’ve seriously considered starting my own forum, I think this website is so awful. <b style="font-style: italic; ">The only time I’ve encountered this much ad-intrusiveness is when viewing porn sites</b><b style="font-weight: normal; font-style: italic; ">. </b>It may not be quite that bad, but it’s immediately what I think of when I visit SRK. The forum is slow, the autoplay ads are extremely intrusive and literally get in my way of navigating the site on many occasions. As much as people like the Cannons and Mr. Wizard like to champion “The Community” the current design of this website does anything but. For the last 3 years at least. </div><div style="font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; "><br></div><div style="font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; ">edit</div><div style="font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; "><br></div><div style="font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; ">Fuck it, I’m just gonna start using ad-block. Hopefully, it gets fixed soon so I won’t have to continue using it. </div>

Starting your own forum really means nothing but stroking your own ego at this point.  There are enough alternatives as it is.

</blockquote>Ridiculous. <br><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>And please cite the alternatives (not eventhubs).</div>

One thing I discovered is that if you mute your audio when on SRK, you forget there are ads here. If I need to listen to something on my computer I just leave this site. When I come back I mute it again.  3 second fix.<div><br></div>

That’s not a fix. That’s ignoring the problem and hoping the symptoms go away.<br><br>“My feet are killing me and I don’t know why. Instead of doing whatever I want to do, I’ll just limit my capabilities until I ABSOLUTELY need to get on my feet again.”<br>

I miss the old simple forum design from 09.<br>

is there any way to give users the option to turn off automatic draft saving? among other annoyances, I’ve found the forum saving the draft of my post right as im about to post it, so im sitting there waiting for a draft of a 1 sentence post to save before i can actually post it<br>
