And btw, when I “edit” them, I can move them to other forums. I doubt that is intentional. I just moved Cody’s combo thread to Paul’s forum and back again. I reported that one or two days after the forum went live again…
How’d you fix them without using HTML? The first one looks just like my original first post did except d3v fixed it by inserting HTML tags (which is going to be a pain in the ass to edit now).
There was a phase where the html was “invisible”. you just select something and marked it was header 1 etc.
Now when I edit, I see the html source code and have to do it via html… I seriously don’t want to use that for my combo threads. >_>
and everything is unsorted.
This might have something to do with that issue that @SmokeMaxX had with his thread. It seems that these threads are, for some reason, stuck in HTML mode.
Simplest way would be to restart the thread so that everything is in BBCode.
Might have to do that. Just liked the one I had now because it has a lot of my newer feedback on there since I lost a lot of it when SRK transitioned over to Vanilla.
I PM’d one of the guys who works for VanillaForums or whatever. I’ll let you know if he replies back to me about the issue. How is it that some threads got stuck in HTML mode and some didn’t? Doesn’t make much sense to me. I’m also curious how these same threads can’t be reset out of HTML mode by any normal and convenient manner.
I’ll just reply to your question here as it seems like something others would like to know about too. The way Vanilla handles input formatting, is by looking at the formatting used in the initial post of a thread. If your initial post therefore only contains HTML and no BBCode, Vanilla will assume that your post is formatted in HTML and will therefore use the HTML parser instead of the BBCode parser for any future posts in that thread.
Kinda weird because for a brief bit, it seems like I was forced to use HTML in the OP to get my thread to function correctly. It definitely wasn’t by choice because I hate using HTML tags. But- that also isn’t totally accurate either because in my thread, I was able to reply with BBCode that displayed correctly but I couldn’t edit the OP using BBCode.
How about that black layout.
My PC is too bright to visit this site as often when I used to.
Bring back visible "Last Post"s in sub forums. I dislike clicking sub-forums only to find out there’s been no new posts especially now since SRK is a ghost town.
