Better production values.
The storytelling emulates movies because that’s the other huge storytelling medium and has been out longer. I don’t think that every game needs 3 hours of cutscenes, nor does it need to make the player interpret the story for themselves. The major difference between movies and games is the interactivity. A good story driven game usually has the player getting sort of immersed in the story. A good movie can do the same, but at the end of the day, it’ll end up just being people on a screen, while games have you playing out a role.

Chris Claremont should never have made Madelyne Pryor a copy of Jean Gray.
Cyclops descent as a character began when he just left her and his baby to hook up with the revived jean and original team in x-factor.

Spider-man
Cardiac is my favorite minor “villain” from the 90’s ASM. While we have many scientists turned villains due to insanity or just to become base criminals, this was a guy who had somewhat realistic motives
(His little bro had a rare disease which the pharmaceutical company could have cured, but held back b/c of lack of profits)

Kraven should have never been resurrected. Kraven was kind of almost a joke villain even though he was created by stan lee and steve ditko.
Last hunt was his most memorable story.
Also, All 500 of his kids were just unnecessary (Vladimir , Alyosha, Ana, a few others really lol…And then his wife lol)
His death also showed some characterization of Chameleon and his love/hate relationship. With all these other family members, it just screams brady bunch.

Not only are american sports seasons too long, after all that after 162 games what do you get? oh yeah now we get a best of 7 series.
As an englishman i dont see the point in having super long seasons to just end up in the play offs, granted the play offs can be good, but what’s more boring than watching a sweep? shit just drags out
I used to be a big nba fan in the early and mid 90’s and an even bigger hockey fan, shit i even enjoyed baseball but the regular season grind was just far to tedious, far to many nothing games, nothing really at stake just a monotonous grind.
I hate american football, shit is unwatchable, but least there league structure is a lot more to the point, yeah i know due to the impact nature of the sport you dont really wanna be playing 84 games a season, but at least you got alot more riding on each game.
What’s worse is now play offs are starting to sneak there way into football/soccer.

The originally gets hated on for the right reasons. It was good when it started but Marvel dragged the story on for three years! It got to the point where character arcs and plots were beginning to repeat themselves and a story that held a lot of promise suddenly had no clear direction.
It wasn’t dragged out - it was supposed to be exactly what it was - letting married Peter Parker go off into the sunset and Ben Reilly take his place. Unfortunately the ending got bungled due to editorial interference/outside pressure and everything was reverted.

An unpopular opinion would be saying Ultimate Spider-Man or Spider-Man Unlimited is the best. Now that would get a few rotten eggs or tomatoes thrown your way.
I’ve run into a ton of people who think that the 90s spiderman cartoon was the best one. Actually I guess while I’m on the topic I can throw out a few more spiderman cartoon unpopular opinions.

I think it would be awesome for a series to streamline story telling with an hour long premier movie to get the slow shit out of the way and then kick out the show following it’s release.
That way you can have a nice clean crisp series than a long drawnout one.

90’s Spiderman was fucking terrible. It was a glimpse of what was to come in regards to passable animation.
