I actually still dont know what dodge offset is. I think the game tried to explain it to me and I didnt get it, and ultimately didnt care lol.
I dont really play bayonetta that much anymore anyway. I keep it around because i feel like it would be a sin to sell it. Every once in a while i’ll play a chapter or two and then not touch it for another month.
Dodge Offset is just finesse. Probably my 2nd favorite mechanic in any video game, just behind the the defense mechanics of VF.
It explains it in the book, but I still had to see a video of it before I understood as well.

That’s because MKB controls are fuckawful and are the worst. Pad’s the only way dork sauls can be played. You wouldn’t play bayo or dmc with MKB, so why dark souls?
There’s tons of gankers in the burg. As I’ve said before, if you want to do pvp you do fight clubs at random spots. Sometimes burg, sometimes painted world, where-ever the fuck people wanna brawl when you’ve got 3-6 people itchin’ to fight.
I AM playing it on a pad. But the game defaults to putting all the attacks on the shoulder buttons. Why the fuck would you put the most used mappings ON THE SHOULDER BUTTONS especially if it’s not an FPS? The game won’t let me change it either. I tried to change things using Joy2Key, but because the game senses the controller, I can’t prevent the game’s mappings from being seen. What’s the control setup like on the console version?

This is why everyone pvps on ps3, cause you just put them on your block list and you wont play vs a ganker or hacker. Xbox you block someone like a hacker or ganker, and in about a hour or so you’ll play the same person you added to your block list.
i remember once when i was “hosting” some fights between red phantoms and blue ones. Basically i was just unarmed goofing around and pointing at the phantoms so they would understand that i want them to fight each other. It worked great for like 1 hour and i had gotten TONS upon TONS of souls. Then there is this blue phantom that killed me and then sends me a message saying :
“I AIN’T NOT YOUR FUCKING GLADIATOR BOY!”
And thus, ExposedD’s career as a lanista came to an end.

I must say, the ps3 version of diablo 3 is probably the best game in the series, I had an blast playing it. The rolling mechanic, the new loot system and couch coop make the game REALLY enjoyable.

I’ve never personally had a problem with DaS attacks being on the shoulder buttons, it feels fine because you don’t mash heavy and R1/RB is a fine button for quick clicks, also you never take your fingers off parry/light attack while using items, changing stance, rolling, etc etc.
I never thought about how it’s awkward that X isn’t light attack and Y isn’t heavy attack. You should tweet from software or post on their forums about how you’d like to customize control layouts, maybe it’ll be in DaS 2…

I never paid a penny for D3, my friend got in the beta, I tried it at his place for like 30 minutes, and never desired to play it again. I do feel the pain that diehard D2 fans felt when they realized that the game was ground-up designed for console play, hence why it’s a pile of dick.
Also this isn’t the only game that was consolized, Skyrim’s PC UI is fucking shit without mods, but everyone ignores this because, “why would you ever play a bethesda game without mods?”
I know I’m in the minority of ppl that actually care about sports games on this board but its baffling how EA got FIFA so right, yet Madden and Live so wrong…
That’s because the FIFA fanbase demanded a better game*(and had one with Konami’s Winning Eleven)*,voted with their wallets for a few years, and forced EA to step their shit up, unlike the drooling masses that keep buying Madden every year despite it going further and further in the toilet just because its the only game in town…
