Unpopular gaming opinions SECOND IMPACT

I definitely agree KoF XIII isn’t the return to old school fighting games its often promoted as, and all the flaws you pointed out within the game are definitely an issue.
However I can’t cosign KoF XIII is a worse game overall than SFIV.

That game is just too bogged down by option selects and setups for me to want pick up and play again. Plus that game also has a good number of options for the cost of meter that allow you to circumvent a footsies situation. Not quite at the level of utility of a KoF EX move, but its a similar issue.

While we’re on the subject of unpopular opinions and KoF though.
KoF XIII is the easiest fighter this gen from a strictly excecutional standpoint. There’s a ~5f input repeater, a massive input buffer, and more hitstop than any game I’ve ever played. You have no excuse to drop a BnB in KoF XIII, and unless you’re pushing for the most meter efficient damage you can possibly do, the same goes for your HDs.

solomans keys for nes is harder then battle toads. Every time I play solomans keys I want to shoot my dick into outer space

The WiiU has the best next gen releases

The End in MGS3 is one of my personal favorite boss battles of all-time. The fact that you fought in several large areas, using your surroundings to both evade and track him, the lack of any real music, only the somber sounds of nature, made the fight really intense in a very modest way.

It captured what I believe would be the essence of a battle between snipers perfectly. The need to consume to keep yourself properly nourished in the long-drawn battle in the wilderness just added to the experience in an amazing way.

I’d also like to note that the fact that you could kill The End by other means was also pretty sick, though you’d be missing out on an amazing battle if you did.
Just an extremely memorable moment in gaming overall, imo.

The irony…

It doesn’t bother me that you thought you were trying to be cool and condescending all in one fell swoop but atleast…nah fuck it keep being a dumbass. Just more to material to shit on.

Sky Blazer is one of the best Snes games that gets over looked

JSRF the best

I played Jet Set Radio for the first time when it came to PSN. I bought it but it turns out there’s a glitch that removes the audio when you save.

…I’m gonna have to re-buy it on Steam when it’s discounted.

@blueleon

Just spotted this today - $1.25 from a reputable site, redeems on Steam. http://slickdeals.net/permadeal/103938/gamersgate.com---jet-set-radio-pc-digital-download

They need to make a jet set radio for wii u.
The game pad would add so much to the game like using the touch screen for spray motions as well as drawing your graffiti. Add a miiverse to it so you can show off and share your graffiti art $$$$

Honestly JSRF does to JSR what SSX Tricky did to SSX. Overhauled, improved and pretty much shit on its predecessor… In my opinion. I played JSRF first and then bought JSR and was pretty, unsurprisingly, disappointed. I know the difference it take may be to blame but JSRF just improved the things that made JSR great and added new things that made it even better. So… If you can, get an old Xbox and play JSRF. So much better.

As real as an unpopular opinion gets.

I prefer on-disc DLC to off disc DLC. Less insulting to my intelligence and quicker downloads. Especially on Vita games where the memory cards cost way too much.

So what’s the public opinion on Sonic Adventure 1 and 2? I always assumed everyone loved both games even though they were obviously flawed (fishing, shitty camera, clipping).

Might be in the minority on this but I like my 3D Sonic without the restrictions that Generations and Colors has. SA1&2 were the purest form of 3D Sonics. And for that reason I like 06 over Generations and Colors. Sonic’s the fastest thing on feet he’s suppose to be all over the place. Glitches are apart of gaming history. Even GTA has them. MvC2 is 1 giant glitch.

On SA1&2 flaws, there’re a lot of worse game cameras out. They all can’t be SM64. On the cast, Big was the only 1 that got any gripe. Amy’s campaign had a nice gimmick to it. Tails had the second fiddle as expected. Knuckles was decent and very important to the story. And Gamma’s was on Final Fantasy levels of feels. In SA2 the Tails/Eggman is not that fulfilling but eh well, Robotnik’s playable.

Both are overrated and haven’t really aged well imo, they aren’t terrible though.

Yea SA1&2 have aged pretty badly. I still like them tho. I like SA1 better tho i think the character select system worked out better then the forced level progression of SA2. In SA1 i can just choose sonic and get 6 hours of speedy fast sonic play, while SA2 jumps you all over the place character wise forcing you to do stuff you might not like or be in the mood for. I hate the knux hot & cold game levels in both games but for SA1 i could mitigate it by switching off between the other characters when i was tired of knux. In SA2 you cant progress until you funish that specific level. Also they added Rouge thus doubling the amount of time i had to do that crap.

Honestly when i play a sonic game i want to play as sonic. I tend to dislikea the games that force a bunch of other crap on you, i’d really like Unleashed if it didnt have those ass Wherebog stages. I passed on heroes cuz all that stuff to. These last Sonic only games have been the best ones in a good long while i hope they keep it up.

Re: the aging of Sonic Adventure.

When has a 3D game ever aged well? I can’t even stand playing a PlayStation 1 3D game anymore, and even most DC/PS2/GC/XB era games look like doo-doo now. Although that might be more of the resolution than anything else.

Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 both suck. Do not play them. You will think of them in comparison to previous 2D Sonic games and go into the fetal position.
