I’ll admit, career mode in GT can be a bit grindy, but what about arcade mode? To me that shits all over any Need For Speed game ever made. I never saw the appeal to those games personally. Midnight Club is cool but I don’t get why everyone loves the NFS games.
Rugby 06 is the best sport sim EA has put out
NFL Street 2 is the best arcade sport sim of all time fuck Blitz pass 0. The Crush the Carrier minigame is to good
Both the Ken Griffey Presents MLB for the snes and the first one for N64 are fantastic
NFL 2K5 was too complicated for dudebros to understand
Tiger Woods PGA Tour and FIFA series are the saving grace for EA Sports now and are still good
NBA Jam<<<College Slam
Basketball games now are only good for Dunk and 3 Point Contest
And speaking of Midway games, I loved every installment of Rampage no matter how bad is was.
It’s so annoying that people think that Eastern market should copy West in everything do. Some of the thing Japan shouldn’t copy is the AAA industry budgets, because all of Japan’s biggest failure comes expecting GTA/COD level profit. It’s like Western cartoon mimicking Anime, pretending that the western cartoon market will get anything near the success of One Piece for example.
Don’t blame the developers, blame the assholes upper-level management and CEO’s for this trend.
NEWSFLASH: developers just code, make characters, models, etc etc. They almost never have a say on the vision/direction of a project, anymore. Development studios work to support themselves. In fact, developers overwork themselves past the point of slave-labor, all so the company can gain extra profits. Yet none of that extra dough goes to a developer’s salary.
Don’t blame the hard-working developers. Blame the focus groups who dictate what can and cannot be in the game. Blame the assholes sitting on the company’s GDP.
Also, this situation doesn’t necessarily to the Japanese game industry. EA has the same problem with overworking studios and paying them jackshit. Same thing could be said about Activision and THQ.
This is the reason why I don’t fuck with video games anymore (new releases, that is). Video games are basically a product of slave labor; coming from the products that you play it on, all the way to the games that you’re playing.
And don’t give me that “but buying new games supports the company” bullshit. You corporate shills are willfully ignorant, just so you can play the latest generic ass game and then look back at it in half-a-decade and say “wow that game looks like shit, why did I ever like it?”
There are exceptions to this rule though, and I only support companies who makes video games for the sake of the medium.
Where in that post did he say it was the developers man? Do you always looks for excuses to curse behind a keyboard? Come on man, you should have learned not to do that in freshmen year, yet here you are in junior year doin the same shit man.
It’s hard because your “average gamer” just wants to mash buttons and watch the screen turn red. This game you have to think and pay attention to your surroundings, enemies and what weapon you’re using. Like in an actual sword fight.
You see what happens when a thirteen year old joins and sees what you guys do? Nigga is callin me an 09er like it matters. Like, can you beat me at a fg? Is that what you sayin?
Cartoons with no violence and cool shit like swords, guns, and fighting always were terrible to me.
Being born in 84, I had access to all of the violence and adult situations in cartoons that we won’t see on TV today in animated shows made in the West.
But this supposed 13 year old has more tenure on the site than you will ever have. Get your uncle tom ass outta here and back to the Gamefaq forums where you belong.
Stupid ass kids, thinkin they can come in here and act like hot shit.
Too late, japanese developers are just as creatively bankrupt as their bosses, no I don’t want to play as an amnesiac 13 year old androgynous secret royal heir to the throne chosen to save the world from a 9000 year old world destroying threat but in reality just taking turns selecting the attack command while occasionally selecting the drink a healing potion option.
I liked every aspect of the game. So many little details everywhere. Occupied areas being in black and white, then turning to color once you took out the Nazi’s occupying the area was a really, really cool touch.
-Tager is NOT an easy character to play, I don’t care how easy his combos are, he has to work extremely hard in certain match ups to get in.
-top tiers being hard to fight in a game does not make a game more skillful, what if a top tier character is very easy to play?
-Mitsuru is fun to play
I’m not a japanophile nor am I a dudebro, I simply don’t enjoy taking turns in RPGs as I used to in my childhood and teen years. After playing RPGs like Baldur’s Gate, Planescape: Torment, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Path of Exile, and Dark Souls I’ve been unable to go bak to the JRPG conventions of yesteryear.
