Guilty Gear is all pressure patterns and execution. I don’t think that kind of gameplay should be encouraged as it makes people who work hard to pull off flashy execution bullshit without thought (such as repeatedly trying to FRC Ky’s HS fireball) actually succeed easier against people who actually try to play the game.

-i think metal slug sucks. i get so bored playing it. people need to play contra 3. fuck, that game is so old and graphically, it looks better and plays smoother.
-japanese rpgs nowadays suck. all the stories have like 5000 plot twists and are so goddamn complicated, and not necessarily better. people need to fucking wake up and realize that complexity does not necessarily mean better. chrono trigger is probably the best rpg and it has a really simple story.
-also, battle systems usually suck ass too and for the most part they’re really fucking boring. just mash fight until someone’s injured, then go cure them. in conclusion, japanese rpgs are devoid of any real gameplay and an unnecessarily complex story that is actually pretty shitty.
-fft is overrated, and i think ffta is a lot better. CT system sucks. missing buffs, cures, and raises sucks. just because the story for ffta isn’t complex doesn’t automatically mean it’s terrible.
-for that matter, i hate how all the games nowadays need stories. why can’t i just blow shit up for no reason? an action game back then would be like “aliens landed, go kick their ass.” an action game now is like "aliens landed, they took your parents including your cute sister, go save them. but why are you fighting the aliens? it turns out the aliens are actually good guys and are preparing you for a larger threat, and you’re actually an alien child. but actually that was a lie and the aliens are trying to extinguish you and are really behind the other aliens."

NFL Blitz on the N64 is the best football game ever. They took the aspects of football people actually want to play, which is run real fast, throw circus passes, and knock the shit out of people (people at least have to agree, they managed to make defense FUN). Fuck feild goals, fuck time management.
