I like SFIV series as well. The only thing I donât like about it, is just the slow pace, but when two aggresive players go at it, itâs quite entertaining. Example: Fuudo vs Daigo at SEA was everything wrong with SFIV, but Xian vs Sako is everything right with the game.
I like Focus and FADC. I know people hate on FADC âyou have to pay for the wrong choiceâ, but being flexible is cool. Iâm not big on meter management and feel itâs more limiting, but SFIV uses it nice. I still prefer ST when it comes to SF, but Iâm looking forward to Ultra. Played Super a ton, but not too much AE/2012.
Agreed on Virtua Tennis being the sports game. I just picked up 4 a couple weeks ago, and love everything about it. Presentation, pace (itâs tennis after all), the mini games are always a blast as well. Iâd like to see Virtua Racing come back as well, since Sega doesnât have the Ferrari or Daytona license anymore. I really hope Sega makes the âVirtuaâ line of games a brand world wide, as they are a shining example of Sega doing right.
Yes it does. Even during the Quest Mode, you have to be careful where you go and how much you do or you might not get enough rest for your next match. So you have to balance practice, signing autographs, playing matches/tourneys, resting at hotels and what not. Itâs an interesting twist because (so far) they give you three blocks to choose from on how many spots you can move.
I donât give a shit about IRL Tennis either (at least watching it), but when I play it, I really feel like I should have a cardigan over my shoulder, with to sleeves tied together.
Flagging posts over someones opinions is funny to me. If your sensitive ass canât handle reading something that might make you catch some feelings then you shouldnât have clicked on the Unpopular Gaming Opinions thread. You should be coming in here prepared to read some shit.
This notion of gaming on a phoneâ I just canât get on board with that. Itâs still one of the most ridiculous things Iâve ever heard with regard to gamingâŚwhy in the blue hell would I want to play a game on a goddamn PHONE!? I happen to be a fan of real games with real controls on a real goddamn gaming device. A phone is still âjust a phoneâ to me⌠I have no desire or need for it to be something beyond that. Maybe I could tolerate something like a Pacman game on there, and thatâs it. The majority of what Iâve seen in terms of âmobile deviceâ(i.e. non-dedicated portable shitâŚstuff thatâs NOT DS or Vita or GBA) is pure, fly-ridden trash that I would not even deem worthy of 1 penny. Jesus H. Christ⌠âgamersâ these days, I swear. Go ahead and flock to that heap of garbage over there, just donât be surprised when in the near future, thatâs literally all there is when it comes to portable gaming. âCutesyâ Nintendo stuff + assorted phone-game trash.
@Million I hate that you donât like Nintendoâs portables. Theyâre God tier, and 99% of the games I had on all Nintendo portables I owned throughout the years were third-party games.
PSP is GDLK, though. Iâm still waiting to snag a 3DS and Vita, their libraries still donât look all that interesting to me.
Lol. I did go kinda overboard now that I thought about it. Ibuki is still the worst SF3 character. SF2s is Deejay (and I main him in ST/HDR). SFEX is Kairi with his incomplete hadokens and beating Akuma, bitch please. Alpha is Ingrid with her non-cannon ass. 4 is pretty obvious.
I havenât played A2 competitively in years and since 04 been focusing exclusively on ST, but this is wrong as matter of fact. Fundamentally there is some overlap but overall theyâre apples and oranges for reasons that I wonât explain here because itâd derail the thread.
Sees everyone except the obvious few still posting popular opinions and behaving as if theyâre edgy rebels and insecure nerds clicking the dislike/flag/LOL buttons like theyâre going out of style.
These are real unpopular opinions:
-Rocket Knight is on the short list of best games from this generation
-Goldeneye was ass, sure it was GDLK in itâs day but only because most of us never played an FPS before it and were too young to notice itâs shitty hitbox collision
-Ninja Gaiden DS is the best entry in the franchise, sure it doesnât have as much depth as the console entries but stylus sword combat is way more fun than pressing buttons
-Games, donât have to be difficult or have depth to be fun, Sonic 2 is my favorite game ever and itâs easiness/simplicity never made it any less GDLK
-Repetition isnât always a bad thing, critics are too close minded thinking a game sucks if itâs repetitive, if something is fun to do over and over again then thatâs great, most old school games are super repetitive
-Racing games especially sims are boring, only fun ones are Mario Kart, Burnout, and Road Rash
-The Dungeons and Dragons/Lord of the Rings/Medieval setting has been done to death sure I love it but now itâs annoying, the sci-fi setting has much more room for innovation so it doesnât get stale as fast, but still developers please think of new visual settings besides elves and space marines
-NES Mega Manâs are great, but still a little overrated the first 4 X games shit on them
-Sure the âAAAâ era of gaming has bred many problems that plague the industry, but it also bred dozens of GDLK games like Heavy Rain, Mass Effect, and Dead Space to name a few so overall big budget games have helped more than hurt
-Havenât played it in 3 years but Smash Brothers Brawl is one of the most fun games ever, I prefer it over Melee because I never learned Melee and having to L-cancel everything takes away the casual appeal of beating up your friends
-Visual aesthetics matter almost as much as game play, no matter how fun a game is if itâs ugly as shit itâs a problem for me, conversely a mediocre game can become a lot more fun if the art style and atmosphere are appealing
-I grew up playing point and click adventure games on my older friendâs PC, I have an affinity for story based games even if some are âinteractive moviesâ as some of you call them, an intellectually and emotionally compelling plot in a video game can be just as powerful an experience as great game play
-L.A Noire is Rockstarâs best game
-Turn based RPGâs are boring I loved them as a kid but now taking turns while you have all the time in the world to decide what to do is poor design, enemies should be able to attack you and make you think on your feet
Itâs ironic you say that because youâre one of the worst offenders, I can quote several of your posts that amount to âlol your opinion is inferior to mineâ.
And clicking the disagree/LOL buttons are just as bitchmade as flagging.
I didnât take that into consideration, you have a point as I assumed clicking the LOL button in this thread denotes âLOL this guy what a dumb opinionâ. I still stand by what I said though.
Yeah but her and Steve had nothing on Jin. Jin had more then just JFLS as well, you could actually SS the last hit even on a JF on block. Jin had a god like parry, 2,4, 2,1, solid lows and was just could do what he wanted when he wanted.
I like those little buttons. I think im the only one that uses them right though. If something makes me laugh, lol button. Better than me posting âlol thats funnyâ. If I disagree with something, disagree button. Better than me posting, âyo, I disagree with youâ.
P.S. I dont know if this is unpopular, but its my opinion that mouse and keybaord is superior to controllers. Took me a while to fully adjust to it, but I have. At least in fps. The accuracy of the mouse and the speed you can turn around and shit is just too good.
