Sonic 1>Sonic 2. I have never, ever liked Sonic 2, but I’ll be damned if I can actually explain why…
Liking a title over another is all fine and dandy, but have you seriously convinced yourself that Sonic 1 was a better game than Sonic 2?

Most Final Fantasy final battles suck. They make it look all epic and grand, but the entire “mood” of what should be the battle that should resolve all conflicts is destroyed by the sheer easiness of the bosses. Kefka, Palamecia, Sephiroth, Ultimecia, Braska’s Final Aeon, and The Undying were all jokes. Only Exdeath, Cloud of Darkness, and Zeromus provided true challenges (Chaos was all luck. You could kill him in like 3 turns if he doesn’t spam Cure 4).
I also hate how a game is hard because the system sucks so badly (MMZ1, MAXIMO, etc.). It’s not “challenging” or “fun”, it’s stupid and it detracts from what could be a decent game.
Vyse truly is the best rpg protagonist ever. He NOT emo, he’s NOT an idiot, and he’s not forced badassness. He’s just plain awesome in a way that cannot be described by words. Guy’s an unintentional badass instead of being an intentional one.

-Alpha 2 has WAY more dumb shit than Alpha 3
-MK64 > the rest
-SMW2: Yoshi Island > SMW > SMB3
-Wrestlemanina 2000 > No Mercy
-Paper Mario/2 is stupid
-Donkey Kong Country 3 isn’t a letdown or the worst in the series
-All Megaman games are meh, except X
-RPG’s are waste of time.
-Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal are the best pokemon games period
-3D Street Fighter could work
-SNK games suck, not because they are bad games, but because damage scaling virtually doesn’t exist.

It’s hard to say. I find A3 to be the more random of the two. A2 has some sort of balance(emphasis on ‘sort’).
SMB3 > Yoshi’s Island > SMW
It’s hard to call, but SMW is definitely at the bottom of the three.
X4 was hot. And the Megaman Zero games are dope as well.

THANK YOU. I’ve been trying to talk to people about that forever. DKC2 may be the best 2d platformer ever, but DKC3 is pretty damn good. DKC1 is the worst of the series. The sequels are just better refined.
I’m also kinda partial towards SFA 2 in the whole “Which is the best Alpha” discussion. I just find it to better displayed than SFA 3 (better graphics, better music, etc.), and it doesn’t have those “weird random hitboxes” from SFA 3. Sure, you’re gonna get raped like a little bitch when someone is at level 3 and turns on a CC, but hey, I’ll take my chance with that than “Here comes my VC from a full-screen distance, and you’ll still lose! HAR HAR!”
But then again, SFA 3 has my fave SF character of all time: Karin. :looney:

Seriously, I invented hundreds of strategies in the game with Sleep, Sing/Sleep Powder, Fly/Dig, Bide, Disable, Teleport, Transform, etc.

Without reading the rest of the thread, I have to agree with this 100%. I work at Gamestop too, and I have to put up with all of this shit as well.
