Pretty much summed up my view of GTA right there.
i never saw what the big deal was in the GTA games. seems like a waste of times with no real objective.

Chip ānā Dale Rescue Rangers had one of the best final level themes in a video game ever made, right behind Final Fortress in Sonic Heroes. The former is actually a really good game to boot. The latter is better than most of Sonic Teamās crap, but still meh.
-
Sonic Heroesās ābanterā was one of its best features. āEggmanās got some serious problems. Check out that statue!ā And who can forget the award-winning āSHAA!!!ā
-
Ducktales (NES) was a much better game than anyone gave it credit for. It was begging for 5 more levels though.
-
Red-haired Simon Belmont (redesign) is cooler than original-look Simon.
-
Captain N should be the next āsurpriseā Brawl character. Add Megaman and Simon Belmont, and Pitās already there, and youāve got N-TEAM WHOAMG.
-
The NES version of Double Dragon was THIS CLOSE to being much better than the arcade version. Double Dragon 2 on NES was better than the arcade. However, seriously, platforming elements in games with two-button jumps is murder.
-
Judge Dredd on the SNES would have been one of the systemās Top 25 titles if it JUST LET YOU SAVE. :annoy:
- The fact that Mike Haggar has not been in a Capcom fighting game other than that supposedly shitty FF Revenge game and the canceled CFAS is the biggest crime of the last 15 years of Street Fighter history.
-
The Rival Schools universe can and should be a part of the Street Fighter universe.
-
Dan should pair up with either Sakura or Karin.
-
Ken should be the one to eventually beat Akuma, and it should drive Ryu nuts.
-
DD and Luke shouldāve been drawn and put in Capcom fighters, not Ingrid. Weāve got enough pedo-fanservice in these games, thanks.
-
Ehrgeiz was better than most people give it credit for.
-
Jabazons shouldāve never been nerfed.
-
WoW needs a martial arts class.
-
The Blitzball minigame in FF10 wouldāve been 100,000,000 times better as a full-action real-time game, and not the oddball turn-based thing it was.
-
EVERYTHING was a perfect Jecht Shot setup.
-
FF10 is a much better game than people give credit for. And Tidus was far less effeminate than, you know, that greasy Vaan kid.
-
There was no point of taking the Vanish-Doom trick out of the FF6 GBA remake if they werenāt going to bother taking out Quick. I beat all the optional bosses (except the Dragonās Den) before I hit level 30 with most of my guys. My highest character was Terra at 32 or sumthinā.
-
Zelda 2 was better than Zelda 1. I want another 2D platformer Zelda.
-
Iāve never played NiGHTsā¦ and I donāt care to. /runs
You know they made Ducktales 2 right? i always wanted to play itā¦and Chip and dale 2ā¦i hear Chip and Dale 2 was sick.sigh.
Iām so glad Iām not the only one that thinks this.
GTA games have always sucked
Blazing Dragons is the best game you have never played
Garou is one of the best fighters ever
Fighters Megamix is one of the funnest fighters I have played.
The 64 does indeed have the worst controller, the GC is next.
The GBA not the DS is the best handheld ever.
Nintendo is not the king of invention, they are the king of stealing everyone elses inventions and calling it their own.
FF 9 is the best FF
Star Ocean The Second Story is the best RPG ever
Disgaea > FFT
FFTA > FFT
Diablo 2 > Starcraft
Sagat was the real boss of SF 2
PDZ is the best multiplayer FPS for the 360
CS pre source is the best multiplayer FPS ever
Natural Selection is fun as hell
AvP2 sucked
Garou is SNKās greatest accomplishments. SEQUEL PLEASE.
Fuck it, when I get home Iām loading up my NES emulator on my xbox for some Chip and Dale action.
I think Iām the only person here who was actually hoping for a SFex vs Rival Schools gameā¦with Rival Schoolsā engine, of course.
ā¦WHAT. :wow: I will search for these.
Air combos make everything better. :bgrin:
yes, Capcom shouldāve continued with the Rival Schools and Powerstone franchisesā¦but it appears they simply gave up, or chose to focus on other things. Darkstalkers is another oneā¦these 3 capcom properties seem to never have received the love/acceptance they deserve. One problem for powerstone was that it was only on Dreamcast, a great system that nobody cared for(though now everyone goes on and on like it was legendaryā¦yet at the time most people seemed to avoid it and wait for ps2. Are there some pretenders in the legion of DC fans now? I think so.)ā¦and only recently has it been put on something else, albeit with NO press of course.(psp)
sidenoteā¦where are the PSP commercials? Iāve seen exactly one in the past several months. Come on nowā¦
Iām not finished hatingā¦I knew there was something else, and it just hit me; Card-battle games. Much like old style turn-based rpgsā¦it will forever be impossible for me to enjoy that crap. In fact, Iām not even sure which style of game I hate more. It would probably be a great idea for one of my eternal punishments in Hell if I ended up thereā¦Satan has all of my favorite games ever, from Viewtiful Joe to SuperMario 3, UC2, Geometry Wars, Actraiser, SF2:Turbo, etc. etcā¦but the kicker is that they only come as turn-based rpgs or card battle versionsā¦and so would begin an eternity of pain and suffering.
great exampleāPhantasy star. I had no interest in the old series, as per my feelings on turn-based rpg stuff. Then PSO arrived, and I had fun. Episode 3 was on the horizonā¦and then I read that it would be a card-battle game, even with the subtitle"C.A.R.D." Immediately, all hope was lostā¦the game was dead to me. heh, then there was that time I read up on a new Metal Gear for the PSP, which was also new at the timeā¦and it was some turn-based or card(canāt even remember which) nonsense. Metal Gear, as a card game = WHAT?
Sonic 3("ā¦and Knuckles", I guess). --ehhhhhā¦I just couldnāt get into this. I donāt even remember if I beat the game or not. It just wasnāt as fun for me as part 2, and it also seemed to be a visual step backwards. The game seemed more colorfulā¦but colorful in a bad, tacky wayā¦like rainbow colored pants with a bright orange tie and a neon green shirtā¦or your average Megaman X character.
-Iāve never had interest in the N64 wrestling games. First off, itās the N64ā¦most things on that system were profoundly ugly. Secondly, the wrestling game genre already has well defined real champs, imo: FirePro series(best customization ever), and Ultimate MUSCLE for GC. In fact, the perfect wrestling game to me would be the fun gameplay, hilarious supermoves, and great visuals of Ultimate MUSCLE + the amazing, seemingly infinite level of customization from FirePro games. Ohhhh if that ever became a reality, I could play that forever. Nothing could compete with that.
The N64 games used the same engine as FirePro and U.M., although I understand U.M.'s was a somewhat bastardized version of it. They had a great deal of FireProās customization intact in the American releases, albeit altered for the U.S. rosters. Thatās where the popularity came from, since the FirePros were never released here in their original form. Def Jam at least gave us some of the over the top style finishers like the ones in U.M. combined with their tried and true engine. I still hold that the original DJV would have been the greatest console wrestler ever if a CAW mode had been included.
Haggar would be in, like, his 60s or 70s now. Thatās pretty old for his grappler archetype. Plus, Zangief, Alex, and Hugo are all better character designs. Okay, maybe not Hugo because heās arguably Andore, but Gief and Alex are better.
Did I miss something?
DIE!!!
:arazz:
GC = Worst controller, period. Itās like freaking rubix cube.
GBA = Teh suck. So does DS.
That third one I wonāt even voice my disagreement.
Oh yeahā¦no incarnation of Street Fighter II has successfully stood the test of time. NONE OF THEM. The only reason ST and the gang still get put on a pedistool is nostalgia. I have been a victim of making a gods out of mediocre games due to nostalgia but Iāve learned my lesson. The III series owns everything with the words Street Fighter in it.
Douche bag.
Gears of wars sucks.I said it. its the same shit over and over and over, IE- i hide behind rock and wait for you to come out of behind that car. way over rated, like halo.
As much as I absolutely hate to say it, I largely agree with Airthrow on this one.
While the concept itself isnāt bad, I just find the level design and enemies in the games to be bland and uninspired.
Yeah, no. Onto the next post!
Yeah, no. Arguing this would mean you coming to my hood(the Bronx) and then weād have to fightā¦via Pokemon duel.
