just cause a game doesnt take skill doesnt make it a bad game.
A game that doesnāt require skill is worthless IMO.
^ gasp Okami? Shadow of the Colossuss? Thatās almost anything other than fighters, DMC, Shinobi, Megaman 2, and Ninja Gaiden. Than again everything requires skill to play lol you need to push buttons. Some people canāt do that
But I mainly care about a great story and immersive worlds.
KH1 difficulty has to come back amped up like Sephiroth, gargoyle beast.
Doom didnt take any skill and people still think its the greatest fps ever
Good action games, FPS, 3rd person shooters, RTSs, turn based strategy games, puzzle games, shooters, graphic adventures etc. all require skill in some form or another.
A game that doesnāt require any skill (and no, pressing X to skip dialogue doesnāt require any skill) is pointless to me, if I want just a good story I would read a book, a comic or watch a movie, I really donāt understand people like you and pfh but to each his own I guess.
I like good games with story and experience whatās not to understand. MGS, and Heavy Rain is worthless to you? That thing is a hidden gem. Why canāt video games become a medium of storytelling? Why do I have to rely in books and movies not that I donāt love those also. You left out RPGs they do take skil i.e. Persona 3 and 4. Trust me not everyone can play a Valkyrie Profile. When I actually think about it I have not played a game that takes no skill (thinking, nimbleness, e.t.c.) at all if there is any. Inputting functions within a controller in itself is a skill. So is breathing, walking, speaking, eating, hearing, fucking, cooking, rolling, reading, smoking, sleeping, writing. They are just very minute
chaos legion was actually a good game. I mean, zieg isnāt exactly Dante, but at least he donāt wear a man bra.
it is super-high time it got a remake.
Another unpopular opinion:
Vagrant Story was a bad game. The battle system was absolutely terrible and the weapon customization was complicated in all the wrong ways.
Cool art/setting/music thoughā¦
doom is one of the unsung heroes in the sense that it adjusted the masses to an artistically immersive consciousness because of the colours, the sounds, the pace, the controls and obviously the view. it was so successful on PC because when we sit at a PC weāre already immersed so it was double the immersion.
doom openned up a whole new skill medium which is hardly being used the way it ought to be because of people creating and everybody wanting a hollywood movie like immersion which sustains mental repititions. this is why games are looked down on, instead of doing what movies canāt do it forever tries to do what movies can do better
Deus Ex is the greatest role playing game ever made
this sounds so stupid. I TAKE ON A PERSONA DIFFERENT FROM MY OWN! I AM TRANSFORMED!
I like JRPGs⦠but thatās still hilarious⦠and true.
I enjoy first person dungeon crawlers - you know those old pc-style rpgās where the viewing area was just a small box on the screen, the rest of it taken up by stats and shit? And you move through dungeons in a first perosn view step by step and have to draw maps to not get lost. Basically all the D&D games, Dungeon Magic for NES, Wizardry series, etc.
did you ever play dagger fall, that game was fucking dope. that game was so huge i think i played the demo for like 100 hours and was still doing new shit.

nah i just console game dude
In that same style for the NES there was Shadowgate, Deja Vu, and Uninvited that are still up there in my favorite games.
yup shadowgate and shadowgate64 (not as good)
Iāve heard 64 was completely different, never really looked into that though.
when you take the internet serious, it makes you look like a fool, theres no point in trying to make the other fools happy, i dont get paid for that.
Edit: if kingdom heats games dont take any skill I guess, games like Final Fight and Streets of rage take no skill also. Id really like to see someone go through the whole game just by pushing 1 button
unfortunate as pc is the king of those types of games imo.
