I liked it.
I think i played more Triple Triad then i actually played FF8. That game was the best and Square has been trying to make something good ever since and have failed horribly. I love 9 but its card game sucks and is boring. The coind game from X-2 is pretty fun though. I liked that one.
I donāt know how many people here will agree with this but Metal Gear Acid was a lot of fun.
I like both Ac!d 1 and 2. 2 more then one but both are cool.

I miss this thread:
-Littlebigplanet is the most under-appreciated game of this generation.
-A more offense-oriented fighting game does not necessarily imply a better fighting game.
-A more defense-oriented fighting game does not necessarily imply a worse fighting game.
-WRPGās are boring.
-The screenwriting for Final Fantasy is weak. It was acceptible during the 16-bit days because games werenāt expected to have a good story.
-Someone needs to bring back the Sandbox-sttyle Space Combat Sim genre (ala Wing Commander).
-The vast majority Wii owners donāt play it and donāt buy (or even pirate) games.
-The vast majority of Wii Fit owners are still fat.
-Final Fantasy sucks and has since 7 onward.
-The only actual fun to play JRPGS have āTales Ofā in their name. Even all of them arenāt winners.
-People make too many excuses for JRPGs, in terms of character design, dialogue and story.
-There hasnāt been a really good WRPG in a long time. DA:O was mediocre. KOTOR2/NWN2 were the last two I really enjoyed.
-In fact, RPG genre in general is pretty dead.

I still like JRPGās and Final Fantasy, but yes I agree that they are generally weak and sucky. Especially given the production value of FF games. They have some great elements, but they are too japanese. Maybe an American should make a JRPGā¦

Thatās kinda-sorta what Black Sigil is. Itās a Canadian made throwback to 16-bit JRPGs. Other than the crippling random encounter rate (which admittedly is HUGELY problematic) and a need to have an FAQ handy to get everything (which is actually pretty JRPG-ish) itās half-decent.
I have two ultimate goals in life: become a screenwriter, and become a game designer (while simultaneously writing the scripts for my games). I document many ideas and amongst them are JRPG-style RPGs, including turn-based titles, my take on a Tales-style game, and a game designed specifically for iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad (in all cases, I have rough documents and drafts for stories and game mechanics). Give me five to ten years or so and Iāll see if I canāt get some of them madeā¦

-Street Fighter III: Third Strike is the greatest fighting game ever, but the learning curve from beginner to master is greater than any other fighter.
-Street Fighter II series and Alpha series are highly overrated, easier to play and the characters were not as epic as the third strikers. Although, when SF II came out and for those first few years, SF II was better than sex.
-RE 4 is just as incredible of a first experience as any of the other other RE games in the series. Re 1 Remake is far better than RE 1 now, superior graphics and expanded game play and more awesome characters (the girl- I forget her name-and the Crimson Heads).
-Capcom is the best fighting game company ever, but not as good nowadays as they used to be.
-SF IV is a horrid game, but I understand why Capcom had to do it this way.
-The Kingdom Heart series is one of the greatest experiences ever, but you have to be a person who can let them themselves slip into that kind of world to really enjoy it.
-3S and the Darkstalkers series are highly underrated.
-MVC2 could of been the best fighting game ever, but only being able to use 6-10 characters out of 56 in high level play (which was everywhere you played it) was way too huge of a bummer (being an Amingo, Juggernaut and Felicia team myslef), and a little too broken hurts it too much to be at the top.
