I’ll be a freshmen and I’m looking to play 3s…and guess marvel. But I have a stock T5 stick and I know nothing about modding sticks. I really want to try a HAPP stick…so I’m looking to buy one of those. Holla at me.
This will be my 5th year at UW. It has taken me a while, but I also work part time to maintain top tier gwop status. Thus, graduation has taken me longer to achieve. Mr. West’s new album arrives at a perfect time for me.
I assume you want to put a happ stick in your t5, such a task is a pain due to the modifications needed on the case. If I were you, I would just leave it stock. The T5 is great, because it plays like a worn out Sanwa.
As for 3s, I am not opposed to playing in the game. The problems that game creates for me are purely logistical in nature. The only place in seattle that has a decent cabinet is Gameworks. Otherwise we would have to meet somewhere specifically to play the game. Between hitting switches and slapping bitches my time is very valuable. I have a hard enough time going to Preppy’s and Zass’ gatherings to play my two favorite games (Mvc2/ST).
That is why I suggest learning to love Marvel, because the HUB is extremely convinient for when you are in need of competition.

Today was the first day of classes, right? I haven’t been to the HUB in years, how are the MvC2 controls? Anyone decent play there? Be honest. What time of day feature heavy rotations? If I drop in, I wouldn’t want to play against the CPU.
12 PM seems to be a good time. There may be more players once they settle into their class schedules.
I figured that attendance would diminish as the quarter went on. When I attended UW (many moons ago), I always made an effort to show up on campus more during the early parts of the quarters. It was in an attempt to self-delude, to pretend like I was going to be in class. Then, as the quarter went on, I’d just sleep in and attend social functions. My MvC1 skillz always suffered towards the end of quarters.
Schools started. It’s on. Back to playing Marvel everyday for hours. Good times.
