Well after a year and a half, my UPCB has given up the ghost. It won’t recognize anything other than power on my xbox360. I don’t have a PS3. I’ve hooked it up to my computer, but since I’ve upgraded to Win7, when I plug the stick into the USB, it just shows up as “unrecognized USB device.” Is Toodles or anyone else willing to chat with me about steps I can take to troubleshoot it? I am not hex code savvy, but I pick things up pretty quickly if someoen will take the time to explain it to me.
does anyone know where to buy a pre hacked/assembled 360pcb? i’m about to assemble my first fightstick for the 360 and i want to make this as easy as i can since i cannot solder. i’ve been surfing the forums for about an hour with 0 luck.
Quick question. About wiring UPCB to VGA/DB15 cable for buttons, figured this thread would be the place to ask:
I bought a used UPCB (2007 Toodles version I believe) from the trading post a few months back, just got around to building it and I realized that the button connection is already soldered as a DB15/VGA cable thing. Now I’m stumped on how to connect my buttons to this.
Tried to search through the forums but didn’t find anything. Can anyone help? =(
Ah, that certainly helps. Thanks. How do I go about putting the connecting the wires tho? Should I get a male VGA cable and connect the wires to the pins accordingly or can i just stick each of the individual wires into the slots? Also I thought there was a 5 pin connector for the directions? Would I put connect the 5 pin to that or do I need to split that up and connect it to the DB15 along with the buttons instead ?
If you want to be able to detach the upcb from the buttons, then you can use the male vga connector. Otherwise, just solder wires directly from the upcb to the buttons, removing the existing female vga connector if necessary. You can go either way on the joystick wires. The spots are the VGDURL on the bottom right of your posted image, and they’re included in the db15.
Hm…seems like the links are all down from toodles website. Until its back up, anyone know an alternative source/have the files for the 2.5 firmware and the schematics? I’m also using the ver. 1 UPCB board, I believe I can still flash it with the 2.5 right?
Can anybody recommend me gerber viewer that can open/view UPCB gerber files?
I can go to two places that can make PCBs and they have some requirements.
One place: “holes can be 0.6 0.7 0.9 1.0 1.1 1.3 1.5 mm”. Can anyone verify this for UPCB?
Other place make boards manualy and dont have gerber viewer. Can anyone make, eg. 300 dpi, images for UPCB copper layers so it can be printed?
I dont if these questions are already answered, didnt find answers via google search.
