here’s a video of my last UPCB stick
Toodles, did you ever figure out what exactly was causing the home button to not work on ps3 in the previous firmware versions? It seems that once you had it working, you didn’t document on how it was fixed.
made an inventory last night, only two UPCBs left. Don’t know if I’ll setup some more.
Are these assembled with programmed pics? If so, how much for both shipped to US 16801?
They`re assembled, shipping is 6?
Ok I’m interested in both. Do you use Paypal? If so, please pm me your address and the total price.
ok, both are selled. I can make some more if there is any interest… This is the time to post a message
I am having trouble with my UPCB. It seems like the Left Direction is acting erratic. If I tap left it sometimes goes back to left and then centers again. Using a Cable select USB.
I was hoping that re flashing the firmware might help, but I am unable to install the Bootloader driver in Vista X64 at all. Held down Start and Select for bootloader mode and I tried pointing it to the directory for where the driver is at in MCHPUSB Driver/Release and the computer won’t find it.
Anything I missed in the first post? or am doing wrong. I don’t have an XP computer at my house. Is it possible to do this on a Mac?
Do the ps2 -> X converters work now? Either way it’s a cool project.
Hi,
I never updated the UPCB with Vista, only with XP. Unfortunately I’m not a familar with Vista. Nevertheless updating the fw should not fix your problem. Perhaps the soldiering point is bad. Could you check the soldiering points on this connectors:
Got the upcbs in the mail; thanks bencao!
Yeah it was my bad. I was attempting to remove the DB-15 soldered on to the edge, and tried to remove it, decided it would be easier to cut into the support plastic in the stick and forgot to resolder one of the points. It seems fixed now.
Am I correct in assuming that if the DB-15 is soldered on the side then the IDC connection will be disabled?
I guess no. I never used the 15pin IDC connector, but i can’t image or heard never about such a “feature”. It should be redundant…
Fine that you solved the problem. I thought that I`ve made a bad soldering point…
@DeepThoughts you`re welcome
I just by sheer luck found a saturn extension cable and proceeded to make a cable. I think I got the wiring backwards. I completed the cable and tested, the saturn did not respond. Then my Saturn started to smell like burnt plastic. I yanked that cable out real quick. Hopefully I didn’t blow a fuse.
Referring to the .h file below where it says “at the Sega Saturn” I am imagining that is looking at the sega saturn port on the console and that is how I wired it up.
Is the diagram actually looking at the end of the controller cable instead?

hi, im having a problem with my upcb with the piggyback. The piggyback works fine with a short usb cable, but when i use a long cable the device doesnt work. The upcb works fine with the long cable, so i think its a problem with the D- and D+ signals on the 360 controller. What can i do?
I read that usb is unreliable > 10 feet
rtdzign: I’ve made 2 saturn cables, which work fine; I’ll check them when I get home, but I would have interpreted that to mean at the console.
Thanks. It must be a wiring problem on my part.
After checking, the pinout does indeed match mine.
doing some research i found that the resistance on the 4066 is 140 ohms so with the cable are like 200 ohm so thats why the pc does not detect the controller. Anyone knows how can i get less resistance?
