The Incredible Machine Series

Blew our minds way before GMOD did.

On that note of Underrated/Not Well Known PC Games I just found this.

No Time To Explain

I think I might pledge $25 for beta and level editor access.
No Time To Explain indie game by tinyBuild — Kickstarter

In the original flash game you respawn right about where you were last safely standing. This looks to be the same way and I might like it more than Super Meat Boy because you haz gun! And really gargantuan bosses. I feel like we need to suck dick to see great bosses these days.

THANK YOU!!! I almost paid $10 for this at Office Max a few weeks ago

Why?

In before games that were well-known/ welll received 14 years ago.

Edit: Fuck! Thread was too fast for me.

It was a fun game on XBOX back in the day. Thought I’d pick it up.

Oh.

Did not know it was an o.g. Box game.

Or that you were into strategy.

Coolness.

Have you checked out valkyria chronicles for your ssf4 machine yet?

Naysayeth, my dude. The PS3 is currently packed up for new games right now. Moving soon, and after I start getting paid from my new job, I’ll have cash to get some new stuff. Thinking about BlazBlue, as much as I don’t really want to get into it… I want that AE though.

As for FSW: http://www.gamespot.com/xbox/strategy/fullspectrumwarrior/index.html

Game was hot.

Darklands is one of my favorite ever RPGs. You basically create a party of dudes and wander around medieval Germany fucking shit up. Download it and play it in DOSBOX.

La Mulana is great masochistic fun.

The entire genre of Roguelikes. Nethack, ADOM, Angband, Desktop Dungeons, Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup, and Doom the Roguelike are horribly addictive.

First off, props to some of my old favorites being mentioned, such as Marathon and Angband.
Never heard of Crusader, but it looks interesting. I’ll at least enjoy the speed run.

Shadowrun

Not sure if this SNES game is unknown or what, Shadowrun is a great RPG taking place in some kind of semi-post apocalyptic Bladerunner universe. It’s all about the being engrossed in the environment, and just like in Bladerunner, the music really helps. This game features Trolls, Shaman, Magic, Guns, Vampires, Zombies, and hacking into a virtual world, all the while taking on evil corporations. Oh and “DOG”, the mythical guidance who can tell you sort of where to go, but never any specifics, like a true shaman.

(And so on)

lol Don’t get lippy. It’s not like we are naming Diablo or Command and Conquer

Super Hero League of Hoboken. best RPG ever, Marvel got nothing on these heroes

anybody ever play septerra core? i freaking love that game the atmosphere the voice acting the story were all just great

i played through quest for glory 1-4 recently (they released a vga remake of qfg2 a couple years ago)

reallllly good series. then i tried part 5 again and was like… ugh.

Blade: The Edge of Darkness” or “Severance: Blade of Darkness”, depending on countries, for copyright issues.

Fantasy Hack and Slash game from 2001, it’s notable for not falling into the run-fest, strafe-fest and mash-fest of most melee combat PC games. The only PC game I know with superior melee combat is Oni. The designers identified the possible shortcomings of the fighting system and made simple workarounds around them to minimize abusable tactics.

It also has amazing atmospheres with volumetric fog and a full lighting/shadow casting engine. The game seriously looks next gen if you find a youtube video with enough low quality that you don’t see the low polycount and low-res textures.

It’s mentiond twice in this article as well as getting the header pic.

Old point-and-click adventure games get glossed over a lot. Shit like The Dig(my personal favorite) or I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream will keep you involved. If you’re a Star Trek sort of guy, I recommend Star Trek: The Next Generation – A Final Unity. Shit was boss.

I have to say… I am using you all.
I had a secret agenda behind this thread…

I work at a call center and recently realized that DosBox can be installed on these computers, and thus now have a plethora of games to play along with Master of Magic.

Thank you.

Don’t forget ALL the Kings Quest and Space Quest games

I really need to go back and crushify Kings Quest 5 and 6

Sierra used to be such a basses game company
