Under Night In-Birth: From the makers of Melty Blood

So do I need a JP PSN account if I don’t want to import this? Is it possible to download it on a JP account and then play online on my main psn?

Yeah you need a JP PSN account to purchase/download it after that you can just play it on your main account, just make sure you don’t delete your JP one. Solaris japan have the cheapest PSN cards, well from what I could find anyway, and they deliver the codes to you within 24 hours.

Or use a hong kong one, which is easier to set up as it’s all in english, i dunno it might even work out cheaper, i dont know how the yen compares to the hk dollar

Bit the bullet and grabbed it off the JP PSN. Trying to learn Yuzuriha, been getting bodied by the army of Waldteins and Gordeaus in ranked matches. I think I’ve won 4 out the 40 or so matches I’ve played. PSN is Tetsuro_NT if anyone wants to add me.

I’m tempted to pick this up. Download from HK PSN store seems to be the cheapest option. The game costs $398HK, and I can get $400HK worth of PSN cards for $55.98US.

I’m going to be playing online only, so I’m curious as to how good the netplay is?

The netplay’s been pretty good IMO. 3 bar connections are like a very slightly laggy TV, and I’ve even had 0 bar connections that are actually playable.

I do not understand how to play this game properly, I just get bodied all day long. Everyone I play already seems to have a strong grasp of their character and I just get rushed down like mad. I have no idea where the gaps are in any strings, I just assume everything is a frame trap. Maybe I should drop Yuzu for someone easier.

Just play dirty. Find attacks that work, rinse and repeat. I find that works for me. Then little by little just fill in the gaps, add in your training room combos.

To me this game is all about capitalising on the gaps. Once you get an in, bursts etc excepted, you can keep your in. I personally find a lot of the online crowd to be very good if things go according to plan (flowchart), however, many I’ve played tend to lack fundamentals - ie - once you break their set combo strategy they fall apart and are unable to adapt. That said, there are some arcade day zero beasts out there too…

I went ahead and picked up the game. Having a good time with it, trying to learn Hilda. She’s fun so long as you can keep your opponent out.

French Bread will broadcast about “the future of UNI2 (tentative name)” on october 10.

Is the online community in this game still fairly sizable?

Have been busy. I hope people are still playing. Ir the anime moved to the next. Im assuming p4uaEx.

anyone know the contents of today’s patch? woke up this morning and it auto updated to new version

Bug Fixes and BGM Select

ok thanks. Does this address the Waldstein loop?

From what I’ve seen of posts of the changelog, no it does no. Handball still in for the hood.

OK, I noticed this in the change log - can’t try it because I’m at work…

・キャラクター(ワレンシュタイン、ビャクヤ、オリエ、セト、ケイアス、ユズリハ)動作の一部不具合を修正。

Characters (waldenstein, Byakuya, Orie, Seth, Keiasu, Yuzu) control errors corrected.

im sorry if im reviving a dead post put im waiting for the English version to come out but im not sure if its worth the wait… can someone tell me if its worth it right now to wait or to order it from play-Asia?

also, can someone explain to me why Chaos is so low in the tier? I played as him last week at the london comic con and I was doing work on people that have played this game before/imported it. granted, I have played my fair share of BB and GG and skullgirls and P4A, I was new to this game and used chaos first. I got destroyed on my first game but as I was learning him I found him enjoyable to use and plan to main him if I import/wait for the ENG version. sure, he lacks a decent overhead and reversal but compensates with the presure of Azi Dahaka in 90% of his combos. Gordeau/merkava players were not that hard to beat too, as I could tell what most of their moves did (50% research). but i digress, can someone PLEASE tell me why Chaos is so low? I think hes atleast high C-B tier, but that my opinion.

(No, im not trolling. im serious)

No offense, but you should probably save your tier placement speculation until you’ve actually played the game more and gained more knowledge. And I don’t think beating a few players who may or may not have been good at the game constitutes to Chaos being strong, either. Hell, I imported the game and I’m ass because I only touched it like twice. I’ll let somebody who’s actually studied this game tell you why Chaos is bottom-tier and “not even a character” as I’ve heard.

And just wait. If you order it, you’ll be spending $70+ on a game that is almost completely dead online. There’ll be more players when it comes out in NA, how ever long that lasts, and it’ll be cheaper and in English. Not worth the import right now. I know I regret getting it.

true that, I did really over react when I said C-B tier and I apologize for it. I just really like him as a character and his gameplay reminds me a lot of Relius (my main since shift extend). Although I can see where you’re coming from, as I was really quick to put him in such a place as i’ve only played the game for 3 days >_<.

and really? The online is that dry? that’s kinda disappointing… as this game has so much promise and potential

oh, I also plan to main Seth, is he in a good place too? I don’t let tier’s control my look on characters (as you could guess from my love for chaos) but I don’t want a huge pile of peeps telling me “Lol why do you like [insert character here] he/she is trash”. but anyway, is Seth good or nope? i’ve played a bit of him and against Gordeau he isn’t the strongest as he has extremely low health (1 combo at 3.5k takes a chunk of health) and he can shut down his set ups pretty easily, but what do you guys think of him?
