This game… it’s everything I wanted. Strong ground and footsie game but not making the air a death sentence while keeping rushdown and zoning as valid playstyles. Combos with weight to them but that aren’t too long. A really intense chaining system (HIGHER, LOWER, SIDEWAYS, UPSIDE DOWN CHAINS!). Simple as hell to get into and start doing combos but with a lot of depth. A wacky waving inflatable arm flailing lovechild of Dhalsim and an Evangelion. I think I’m in love

Eltnum is fun also. Waldstein weird its like his arms dont have hurt boxz. So ya have to get through his trash to his body
I went to a meet-up today and we played this. I’d been watching match vids a while and back before I even played it I felt this game was made for me. After playing, I’m hooked. I mostly played Linne and a little bit of Orie but I saw some cool stuff from Nanase and I managed to not realize until now that Sion and the guy from Akatsuki Blitzkampf are in this. I have to get this.
I couldn’t do his links consistently online so I ended up going back to Akatsuki.
Akatsuki is work, but getting people pinned in the corner is really gratifying. 5B is my low forward and qcf+A is my fireball. I have a pocket Nanase I need to work on and I’m going to be working on Gordeau, Seth, then Yuzuriha.
So far Akatsuki is my most favorite regardless of the worse match ups.

Hilda is the worst char in the game with her own bottom tier if you look at the tier charts. She has no reversal move even with meter btw…

Been playing a bunch of Seth and Gordeau. Seth’s setups are 100x better than anything Nanaya could do in Melty.
I am in love with his speed and teleport esqe movement. Had a few matches against a Wald player and good lord those normals and rushing grab. I know Seth is solid C tier but damn I feel he has potential.
I kind of miss how Heat/Blood Heat worked in Melty instead of the Veil Off.
All the other mechanics are really great, especially the rewards for defensive and offensive play.
I’ve seen a lot of Youtube matches set to 3 rounds, is that the tournament norm for UNiB?
If anyone wants to get matches in sometime my two PSN’s are turntechgagehead and debiruuman.

Either does carmine he is high rish high reward. She can just lock me down in the corner and ill bleed out trying to get to her. Just seems to be his worst match up to me.
I stopped caring what Japanese say about chars tiers they play way diffrent. Ill wait tell a american teir list is made. Some chars in this game no matter how awesome have bad match ups. I can lock waldstein down in a corner and make him my personal bitch. Gourdo carmine has a good chance tearing him apart unless he gets his easy brain dead confirms into comboz.
But I do need more battles against hilda. Luckly there was no shortage of gourdos to learn the match up… need to find more hildas to see if I can get threw all that trash on screen to get to her. Found counter picking with linne I can just run in on her or jump through or dive kick through the maze.
I really wish Akatsuki had either less recovery on his fireball or a longer dash (maybe a run is too good). As he is I don’t even know how I’m supposed to fight Merkava or Gordeau.
