[S]Aoko[/S] Yuzuriha
Yeyuz, Yuzuriha looks cool.
So… PC/console version please?
I like the graphical style. It’s very smooth and colorful, reminds me of Disgaea, and the sprites look good. Could use some more animation, but maybe I’m just spoiled. The character designs are meh, although I really like how Waldstein is the bastard son of Akuma and Hsien-Ko.
I like how French Bread just said, “Fuck it, grapplers suck because they get killed by zoning, so let’s make our grappler cover the entire Goddamn screen.”
"No one likes high-tier grapplers."
Also Takehito Harada is the artist for Disgaea-verse.
I heard there were English tweets that they were considering digital distribution along the line, but who knows for certain.
EDIT: Oh wow, Seth and Yuzuhira really are blatant. If he’s wearing a school uniform under that and she has a deep voice, gg French Bread.
Yuzuriha is Hiko Seijuro reincarnated as a hot redhead. I can deal with that. These chars need gameplay screenshots, because I can’t begin to imagine how they actually play. FB’s char design is fairly generic, but that doesn’t really matter if their playstyles are cool.
Yuzuriha looks delicious. GIMME
I don’t mind this being released on XBL and PSN…so long as there’ll be an eng. release =)
…man those 2 characters look generically boring as fuck. Might be interested in Yuzu, but I gotta see how she plays first.
I agree with the sentiment that states Seth gives off that “Nanaya” vibe.
Anyway, a digital release would be probably the best way for FB and Ecole to make a way into the Western market, if they were so inclined .
But I’m hoping that, much like with AH3, the Japanese release will have a disc release for PS3. I just always feel better about having my hard copy.
Hopefully someone’ll record some matches from AOU~
Man this game looks dissapointing.
How? Gameplay? Character design? Graphics? In disappointment to what? Melty? Their lineup? To your taste?
Pretty much in my tastes.
I don’t really know much about the background of Melty Blood but the characters were pretty basic looking instead of all thiss Blazblue stuff you have in this game.
The gameplay looks more like Guilty Gear than Melty blood also.
I know that MB was based on preexisting IP so they didn’t have much leeway in terms of character designs, but man, give me distinctive-looking characters over “girl in a solid-colored shirt and skirt” any day. I’m liking the look of this game so far.
Well it does take in they’re fighting in a regular old Tokyo-esque city in MB and its sister city in F/UC.
The weirdest people on the street (Roa and Riesbyfe) looks like a walking home drunk and some cosplayer. Though I’m weirded out by no one noticing the albinos with dye jobs (Len, Arcueid, night time Satsuki) running around.
I’m guessing they just said fuck it when everyone is weird in the game.
Though I only remember French Bread making one single original game in the first place.

Hopefully he’ll add some more vids soon =)
Is that a space dragon?
Hanging out with a flat chested girl with brown hair?
Is Marvel going sue?
So the plot to this is ALIENS, right?
This game be stylin’. Getting hype for more footage.
Definitely seems more like BlazBlue/Guilty Gear than Melty though.
After playing melty, I’ve become a fan of french bread (along with their bland characters and stages). It seems to have a much greater emphasis on ground footsies instead of air footsies. I’m loving it so far.
Like what I’m seeing. Just want to see more at this point!
Is it me or without Type Moon, it seems less sophisticated, and intentionally zany?
The Engrish is more used than ever, the simpler aesthetics for the intro and character select, the more retro score use,
the kinda weak hitsounds, lack of voices, and there isn’t much delay in the sound as I think, the super gives a noise tell before the animation even starts.
Like they were 100% serious about making it a Blazblue contender.
Everything else seemed to improve vastly from MB though, with the offensive oriented gameplay still in tact.
