can someone explain how this works to me? i see it with proton cannon in some videos but i have no idea what’s going on.
if ur opponent isn’t blocking, and u DHC into proton cannon, the proton cannon will hit before they have a chance to block so basically they Can’t block it.
it’s not really an unblockable in the way sent’s c.hp is unblockable but they just dont have enough time to block it.
but i know felcia has this hyper combo and if u DHC out of it, it will always hit, cuz the opponent just stays in block stun, its weird.
it’s frame killing, it’ can happen in different ways.
-
you do a super that doesn’t let you block, then dhc into instant supers like Headcrush(when it’s close), Proton Canon, etc.
-
throwing a projectile out, canceling it into a super, then dhcing the frame right before it touches.
this is a good video to watch on it, credit to Djb-13. http://youtube.com/watch?v=mbnTwHXWhXo
if they’re in the block animation, regardless of if they’re blocking or not, the super is blocked. you need to do something like dhalsim’s yoga slam… dhc into proton cannon, and BAM, can’t block it.
when you see the startup animation during the freeze frame, it typically can be an unblockable. Storm’s works if the opponent is high enough on the screen.
The projectile thing… does that work for ALL projectiles, or only certain ones, like sentinels?
i believe it’s just a matter of timing the projectile 1 frame away from their body or at least that tight. Maybe magnetro can enlighten us on this, as i am a very ignorant man in these matters.
Dont forget the long list of unblockable shuma dhc’s with the eyeballs up :woot:
