Umvc3 wesker changed?

but didn’t jumping medium only work on a few characters? i could only get one loop in with jumping medium on regular and big characthers. small characthers i usually just go for the jump.C into jump S overhead. jumping med was kinda tricky but it might be better now then ACS.

i seen all wolverine players play wesker…so im saying yes…kinda sad when im gonna get compared to a wolverine player. BUT OH WELL I’LL TAKE IT.

You guys realize that when Wesker has his glasses off he can still do a gun shot juggle to combo, not 100% though

also, his lvl 3 x-factor is better than in vanilla because he feels the same while everyone else x-factor got toned down… Ultimate Wesker is easily top 5

Easily. I put a slice of chocolate cake in front of a fight stick and it still played Wesker efficiently.

Eh…aside from the Rhino Charge nerf (something I used a bunch, it was probably his best super) this Wesker is rediculous. The fact that he can relaunch by himself now when he doesn’t have glasses is beyond disgusting. Random shit he does has like no way of dealing less than 500.

I don’t know what the fuck happened but unless the other characters got something crazier, capcom had dun fucked up with Wesker.

It’s like they knew he was top tier in Vanilla and people were already bitching about him so Capcom decided to troll everyone and buff him while nerfing the other top tiers… Oh well, I got me a pocket Wesker

Yeah I never really used BCS in vanilla. Sadly, I was just getting decent at the jump loop in vanilla in general, and now I need to start learning it differently anyway. I haven’t tried C into S overhead yet much really though, maybe that’ll be the more go-to reset now.

Another neat thing I noticed, is that Wesker’s air throw reset somehow seems just a bit more deceptive now, and seems to have a better grab range. I’ve dashed forward, jump and then go for the air throw and I’ve noticed that I’ll still grab people that are air teching forward (even if they’re mashing jab!), which never really happened in vanilla. Good times.

I definitely don’t feel guilty about the buffs Wesker got, rhino charge was my favorite super and I used it a lot, and now it’s pretty much useless unless you’re really good at guessing. That coupled with the gun nerf, and the fact that as time went on his bad matchups started to show up more towards the end of vanilla, and I think capcom got it pretty right with Wesker. He’s tearing up now because people move a bit differently in Ultimate and everyone’s getting adjusted again and trying new stuff. As the game goes on I bet a lot more of Wesker’s weaknesses and bad matchups will be more prevalent.

Play around with the HSD with no glasses Wesker. Self relaunch does around 500,000 before using his super.

I’ll have to mess around in training room with that when I get home. I’m guessing HSD would probably keep you from doing ground series, launch, air series, self relaunch, air series, assist relaunch, air series, otg into reset. If glassless wesker could do all of that, I might start to agree that he actually got buffed a bit too much.

You spend one bar for x-factor level .5 wesker who is significantly faster than the rest of the cast. It’s well worth it. He still has all of the old weaknesses but he deals way more damage and can still zone with the gun. So yeah, he didn’t really get nerfed for shit.

lvl 4 Wesker has 195% damage increase and is insanely fast …

So when capcom said that their toning down x-factor damage, I guess they meant for the rest of the cast, Wesker was like “I don’t play that shit, gimme a buff you worms!”

Exact number on speed increase?

If anybody has the guide, I would like to know too… Feels faster than most besides Strider

Has anyone tried using something like cr.m - cobra strike - teleport in hit confirms? Cobra strike seems to put you in mad blockstun and if it does hit, you get a better combo off in the end. The move itself also doubles as an anti air and it’s only downfall is it’s unsafe if it whiffs completley, kinda like Vergil’s (slightly) high risk high reward derp dive. I honestly don’t want Wesker to be more broken than he already is but I think there’s a lot of potential for lockdown with the cobra-port. And it’s one button port makes it almost as braindead as vanilla gun-ports.

Only problem is that the scrub Wesker users don’t like doing quarter-cirle motions, lol

It should bother no one that he is over-used, or has high damage combos.
The character select screen is the same for everyone.
Wesker feels very strong, (obv.) Also, I think he is just as good on point, as anchor.
