The new :m: to :d::m: gives you a little more time to hit confirm into a combo. Since the slide takes you forward, I don’t think you have to worry about being out of range if it’s hitting. Also if they advancing guard you early, you aren’t left whiffing her :h:.

Advancing guard ties them up for ~21 frames, so obviously whiffing the :m: or :d::m: puts you at less of a disadvantage afterwards. And in this case, whiffing the :m: instead of the :d::m: leaves you safely further away. I like it.

Hopefully her flight activation is much faster and we can just do that when people advancing guard us out :stuck_out_tongue:

So we can only use hopscotch once Big Deal… we will still carry ppl to the corner in a combo and RH unblockable and then everyeone will cry salty tears to it because there isnt shit they can do to stop it. The ONLY thing i hope they improved that isnt mentioned on that COMPLETE LIST is the recovery frames on the voltages…yes its said there is more to discover about the game that isnt listed and im hoping now i can zone. If not i still have divekick and unblockables which i think is the MAIN reason the few ppl that play trish play her

1.) Seems ridiculous to buff keepaway and zoning in general and then nerf Vanillia’s premier keepaway character’s keepaway tools.
2.) Any confirmation on what the change list actually is saying? 1 hopscotch per jump? Can still hopscotch, round trip, peekaboo or is it just ONE of these each time your in the air?

Its like phoenix in the sense that you only get 1 action but you get 1 action of her traps and round harvest…so basically you cant play 2 hopscotches or peekaboos a jump unless u switch to flight, shouldnt be a major problem seeing as how most ppl lay one of each and then dive in, now the diving in gets hurt by this since she has to be careful cuz she might not be able to cancel

i dont see the big fuss, theres no more invincibility assists and now trish’s vanilla problems are technically gone, her rushdown has been promoted and with less frames on start up for flight which i hope is for start up and not overall ill finally be able to mind fuck people after a divekick and just triangle dash to their other side. fuck keepaway whats stopping rushdown trish now LOL xD sorry YO WESKER, WHERES HAGGAR TO SAVE YOU NOW HUH?

There is invincible assist in this game, and hagger is still a threat…

you can hit haggar out of it when he comes out and i always had extensive block strings after a dive kick, so they cant just mash haggar anymore for a free hit and i only seen iron fists invincible assist and i dont think that catches ppl from upclose in someones face

Nemesis in a sense is invincible with all that armor and you could also say hulk is too…just saying hagger will still beat anyone out if they attackin from above

well i never rushed down characters with super / hyper armor anyway xD lets see if flight mode allows my escape from them much easier

Hate to say it, but it seems likely that total flight time will be what’s reduced. They seem to be going that way with multiple chars’ flight modes.

Haggar still a threat, he’ll still be mashed on if you’re rushing down.

as for Trish flight, I’m with Theli on saying it’s the overall flight time and not startup. Probably to go with the “no camping in the air” nerf on traps. Just in case you want to trap>flight>traps.

Regardless, she’ll still be fine.

To me, it’s a wait and see thing. They used the same text to explain the changes to Morrigan’s flight mode which is improving.

If it improves, great. If not, it’s not like our games were based on using it to begin with.

It seems to me like its a General Overall buff, not a “ok guys trish can now flight cancel into combos since we improved startup and recovery improving damage so have fun adding more damage to trish’s bnb combos from your friends at Capcom” type of buff…which honestly thats the only reason i could think of too buff trish’s flight mode

There was never really a reason to spam air traps unless you were fighting Wesker or Wolverine to be honest. She’ll be fine.

However, I hope we find some new tech. Trish is starting to bore me. Sigh. I know her better then anyone tho.

http://shoryuken.com/2011/10/27/umvc3-character-change-log-capcom-side/ its says TOTAL FRAMES FOR AIR RAID REDUCED from this i think it means startup active and recovery frames are reduced which to me tells me that it starts faster it recovers faster but the duration you can stay in the air is shortened…this is a GOOD buff because it mean that her dashing will be faster and her air combo ability was buffed those improving her damage one of her week points. This is what i gather from this

Trish was a long range nuisance at best. You can blow up someone with no patience, but other than that you are to rush them the fuck down. People have no idea what Trish can do still, IMO. I posted a shitting video of me beasting some guy on this board and everyone was like “I’ve never seen a Trish that aggressive in my life.”

In other news Rocket Raccoon has really thrown a monkey wrench into my plans as I dont know how Trish is going to work with an inevitable Dr. Doom/Firebrand team. I like Trish/Doom but Doom is better on point, and doesnt benefit from any of her assists. I just dont know. I like Trish/Dormammu and Trish/Doom but now that I have my eye on Firebrand and Rocket whatever combination of Dr. Doom (since he’s basically confirmed for my team) is going to make Trish the afterthought seeing as everyone seems to have a good assist except her.

I will never understand why Trish got such crappy assists. I do like Peekaboo, but it certainly doesn’t beat other characters’ assists.

They really could have given her round trip as an assist with a little invincibility. I would have taken her standing C and an assist over what she has. Her traps dont work as assist when you’re rushing down.

If her traps had some actual durability on it, then Peekaboo overall would be a better move (especially an assist) but whatever. That’s the only thing I feel she needs at this point.

thats the thing though if your rushing down and ur not in the air you can hit haggar out of it now, so he cant just be mashed. also i dont know whats the complaint about her trap durability i use the hopscotch assist and i consider it her best assist, its like a fake dormammu fire that shoots upwards once and it doesnt disappear when the point character is hit. compared to peekaboo that only covers barely anything on the screen and doesnt trap very long with the crap damage it provides. corner rushing is nice if u place a hopscotch on the position ur character is, cause its free hit.
