Old Yoshi/Eddie vet QDogg running his old team for the first time since TTT1. To put it in perspective for non-Tekken players that’s like seeing Clockw0rk playing Strider again. Instead of finishing the combo and taking the round he got his troll face on and just started stance dancing around. No fucks given.
Just because you like fighting games, it doesn’t mean that you are going to like *all *fighting games. Also, I wouldn’t mind checking out TTT2 *if *it wasn’t at the expense of watching tournament matches. If Namco are insistent about publicizing their games through these exhibitions, they could at least be sensitive to not having them bump tournament matches off the stream (and yes, I realize that NEC is running tragically behind schedule, but that is just another reason why these exhibitions are a bad idea to begin with). Next time, do these exhibitions after the tournament on Day 1 or something, don’t cram them in the middle of finals day like this is sweeps week or some shit.

So for singles I was supposed to play in Pool 6, and I showed up rather early today ready to play and also extremely nervous because Clockwork was in the same pool and fuck playing against Clockwork I’m not ready for Clockwork. I did some casuals while waiting around and split a quick set with DJ Houshen which was pretty cool, always enjoy playing against him. Anyways I looked at my bracket and saw that I would have to face Jago if I won my first match. When the pools started, the guy I had to play didn’t show, so he got DQ’d (this would happen A LOT, seriously Marvel singles had over 200 signups but I must have heard at least 50 DQs over the course of last night/today). I knew I had to play Jago but then I saw him playing someone else, and then someone else after that. Now I’m starting to think something is weird so I went to the guys running the pools and sure enough, I was sent to losers by Jago even though we never played. So they ended up correcting this mistake by sending me to Pool 7 which was just starting. But Pool 7 was the official “pool of killers”, it was really funny seeing how spread out the big names were in every other pool then seeing the rest crammed into number 7. I had to play RDK in my first match, but somehow I won it 2-1 (although if he didnt drop a doom combo, he probably wouldave won it). Then I had to play Remix in the second round, and I won that one 2-0. I pretty much have to thank Doc Strange for my wins, he really did all of the work. I had to play Damian after that and we always play just about every time a Philly event is happening. Of course he beats me 2-1 but I had a pretty awesome birthday with Strange and almost an awesome comeback with Hawkeye the final match, and I’m glad he was able to go all the way through on winners side (even beat CJ which came down to Wesker, of course). Then I had to wait around for a while, and then I was going to play the winner of Remix/Steve H which was going to be on stream but then Steve was pulled over to the AE setups to play matches there so we had to play off stream. Steve H got me pretty good, I dropped a pretty crucial Strange combo against his Wolverine on the last match so that pretty much did me in. All in all it wasn’t my best majors performance but I did beat some good players so I’m pretty pleased. Getting top 8 (or close to top 8) in the toughest pool there is pretty okay I guess.
Fun fact - CJ lost to the same two people that I lost to (Damian and Steve H). I really thought he’d make top 16 but that should tell you guys how brutal our pool was.
Houshen eliminated Yipes in their pool’s losers finals which was off stream, it was pretty awesome.
I wish I knew about them running top 16 off stream though, I would have stuck around for that…maybe, I mean I did have dinner to come home to. I do know that TTT 2 needs to stop.
Its not about what they are doing, its when they are doing it, I was hyped for ultimate marvel, but if they ran that during the sf 4 AE top 8 at evo I would be just as salty as I am right now. Theres no reason for them to be running an exhibition during the top 16 for one of the most popular games at the tourney, its just bad business.

So apparently rayray and li joe got eliminated plus noel beat clockw0rk to qualify for top 8. Thank God I missed that, that woulda made me very salty to say the least.
