Starting Vergil against Zero is just foolish.
The problem with Wesker anchor is that it will never win big tournaments IMHO. Wesker anchor is typical “buff Zero to OP SS tier BS” but as soon as you lose Zero, Dante has no real assist anymore and gets pushblocked out all day.
The only way to make anchor Wesker really solid and not just riding on UMVC3 hurp durp is to get Wesker in ASAP with his glasses off and then give him jam session assist so he can get access to his best mix up with XF2 and glasses off. Anchor Wesker overall just seems like better February Sent. Good to give people problems but you have a big hole when you lose your first character that you instantly have to cover or rely on the randomness of XF3 Wesker.
Clockwork is a snowball in this game. He starts off like a small ball and then momentum gets bigger and you better get out the way.

Yeah Wesker is legit good but he still has a bit too much of holes without assists that there’s going to be characters that lame out his XF3 and him not being a great assist when there’s only one other character will make things an issue. High tier/high tier+assist/Wesker teams will have to get crafty to take big tournaments. Just waiting for Dark Wesker is just a better version of the XF3 Wesker gimmick. Not going to be anywhere near as reliable as Phoenix was.
The team works it’s just not going to have a ton of success relying on XF3 Wesker all the time. XF2 Wesker + assist can tear teams down even faster and more efficiently. Putting Wesker as anchor is actually a good way to do this since you can just DHC into Wesker and get your XF2 + assist right there.
It’s still kind of harsh when you consider how much time and effort a TO like Big Eric and a streamer like Spooky put into an event like NEC, only to have someone call it a bust a couple of hours into the first day. This isn’t aimed specifically at you, but I wish people in the FGC didn’t use every major as an excuse to spew out as much negativity as possible, and then hide behind “don’t take it seriously.” It is serious to some people, and I think we have to give them the respect to at least not bag on them for trying to do something good for the community.

Well you gotta remember a very important thing about people, people are assholes in general. They complain about free things, bitch about favors and are just generally inconsiderate assholes. But with that said, you have the people who donate and consistently give props and do their best to support sp00ky(and the streamers in general).
And just for the record, I was complaining about the matches, not the stream quality. I have personally found the matches today extremely boring considering most people are just running their vanilla teams. But thats not a knock at sp00ky.
You need to be able to self OTG to get the most out of Strider assist.
