Except it wasn’t being done on chars that it did work on, and it’s been shown many times already that the hits racked up don’t cause them to fall out.
But with the level up to 4 or 5, he doesn’t need the opponent in the corner to apply pressure on the opponent. Chainsaws have huge range. The chip is just icing on the cake.

I’m getting the feeling Combofiend is using Nemesis as a damage sponge to build meter for his other two characters. Hopefully he steps his game up; Floe looks to have the better Nemesis.
Speaking of which, this match against Dios X is exciting.

Yeah, I’m feeling Floe’s Nemesis. He doesn’t rely on resets (which are kinda gimmicky at the moment, TBQH). Floe plays him like a zoner. Floe’s Nemesis did well against Dios’s keepaway team, while Combo’s Nemesis struggled for the most part.
Floe’s Nemesis makes a lot of sense. He plays very slow and cautious, and uses Vajira assist to handle anything that could get above or around jumping tentacles and air rockets.
I’ve been using Nemesis with Arthur’s daggers to keep people locked down for missle chip and pressure. I used to have Deadpool second with his OTG for resets, but I switch it to his upward gunshots for the same reason. Resets are nice, but if Nemmy hits you, you are probably going to die anyways.
Well, there is that one apparent infinite reset in the corner with Nem. Have yet to see it in action, though.

Good to see 10 stars represent X-23 again. He changed his team up so it’s not very dirt nap based anymore. I like seeing that he went back to Doom anchor cuz I love Doom. Unfortunately he’s using rocks assist for her which doesn’t really clear up space for her or can be used as often as beam. He still has her second with Vergil up front. Vergil did work of course cuz it’s Vergil and I"m sure people still aren’t sure WTF to do against him yet. The team overall just doesn’t seem to have synergy like his X-23/Dante/Tron team used to. I feel XF1 X-23 still has potential even with the XF nerfs so kinda sucks to see the team not really built around 23 like the last one was. Hopefully Vergil up front can do enough work where it pays off later.
