Ok. Arthur sucks at anchor. badly. Like, he is a REALLY OVERRATED ANCHOR.
You are just running your game on a timer. When Xfactor or Gold armor runs out, you lost. When XF3 runs out, you have just have plain ol shitty arthur with assists. The only thing he has is XF infinites, and the blockstun one can be pushblocked to waste your xf3 time. Once gold armor runs out, your going to die. Even if the character doesnt have an otg, they have plenty of time to set up all over you, and do what they want. He is only good in one situation, anchor vs anchor when you have XF3 and a bar. Thats it. Anywhere else he is going to die or kill MAYBE one character.

Should Arthur start second? Marvisto has that combo where he DHCs and finishes a FB combo with Gold Arthur, then tags him into the anchor spot.
I think play arthur first or maybe second; never anchor.
He’s a ticking time bomb on anchor w/ Golden armor. His Start of the round gambit isn’t as mediocre as people think though (it’s still pretty meh though)
Arthur on second, always. Make the most of his great assist.
Yeah second is best position.
Seconds’ pretty good.
His THC is pretty good too due to the length, durability, and range. You could setup alot of really hard to block stuff with it.
Just as Arthur was starting to sound good as an anchor he’s ‘relegated’ to second position in a team ¬_¬
Still, even if the general consensus seems to be that a characters optimal position is second, that doesn’t mean that the character doesn’t also make a good anchor.
Arthur doesn’t make a good anchor against anybody who can stay off the ground for an extended period of time or teleport, which is basically… every other good anchor.

Wesker is a good anchor. He’s not one of the best. Stop getting confused.
Strider is frail as fuck. Orbs don’t even chip, his teleport game is only as painful as Jeans or Weskers. Orbs are Gimlet/Squeeze/Bionic Arm bait.
The best anchor is a tie between Vergil and Strider. Vergil is much safer and an easier reach to dark mode, Strider is harder because of the 3 meters, the start up, and the fact that he only has ONE shot to get the job done. Nevertheless, when Strider reaches that XF3 and Oro then he will run over anybody.
