wait wtf? I haven’t played in a month, but is that not new? Continuing tac infinites while clearly on the ground for a large amount of time(standing soul fist)???
I think it’s the same shit that makes Magneto’s easy mode infinite possible. Morrigan’s flight cancel must have some weird properties that persist until after the first frame she’s on the ground. Maybe the grounded soul fist has to be input at the first possible frame for this to work. Regardless, Morrigan’s older TAC infinite is easier and does more damage, so…
i’m pretty sure it has to do with shell kick having cancelable frames when you hit the ground. cancel shellkick immediately into a soul fist then into fly.
the one drawback to infinites is giving your opponent a shit ton of meter
the fact that morrigan of all people can do something like that is just insane
it looks hard as fuck though, especially if rubeks is right and it’s based off the cancel frames
that morrigan tac somewhat makes vergil irrelevant but also pretty much ruins every other character’s potential chance of fighting teams with morrigan on it except zero
I find solace in the fact that you guys are as “surprised” about the standing portion of the TAC infinite as I am. I was scared that in the month that I was gone, standing tac infinites had become a thing
If wiff canceling a j.S is the only thing that makes this work, then shouldn’t more characters be able to do something with it?(granted they won’t be able to do anything quite as useful as steal meter, but just for curiosity’s sake)
You think Viper might be able to use this? I remember during Summer Jam Marlinpie supposedly had a new Viper infinite(aside from the other S cancel one), but I don’t think it was ever shown.
The second Morrigan TAC infinite is insane. Cannot believe she is connecting grounded soul drains in them. No wonder the other player was staying at 1 meter the whole time. Looks like it has strict timing and requires the corner. Chris G to put Morrigan second this year?
