Serp, your Thor is average at best. Hell, you were going autopilot for a good amount of your time with him in. Bad timing on Mighty Strike charges, braindead aerial M Strikes with no attempt at spacial predicition. Going for cr.L, S any time you pressed buttons on the ground. Most of my saying I have a better Thor than you was just joking aroundâŚbut I honestly do have a better Thor than you.
Your Dorm however was VERY good. THATâS the character you should be talking shit over. Thatâs the character you should build around. Dorm is far and away your best character. As it was said, your Liberation cycles are above 90-95% of most Dorm players. Great fullscreen confirmation with him as well. Good use of Stalking Flare/Flame Carpet into Hard Tag. Your Doom wasnât anything special but very few peopleâs Dooms are, mine included, so no comment there.
But basically, for all of your Thor hype, yours did not meet it in the least. Your Dorm is what the hype shouldâve been around. Very solid, and deserving of our respect.
Iâll echo everyone else and say that I took notes on Serpâs Dorm but fell asleep with his Thor.
Maybe heâs been hyping up thormammu all this time, and he just types with a lisp.
I kinda wanted to see serp just maul everyone free with thor just to come back and see everyoneâs reactions in the thread
His Thor looked like standard fare. Got a hit, pretty much had a chance to kill the character. If somebody got in on Thor it was pretty free because he has no real normals and no assortment of hit stun stopping armor or invincible moves like Viper to offset that issue. He seems like a character thatâs really easy to just crowd with offense and take care of from there. I noticed he got regular grabbed or hit out of some of his command grab setups also. At the highest level of play it looks like strong movement or quick normals could easily get around mighty strikeâs longer start up.
Dorm was cool. Nothing struck me as amazing, but he was making use of spells. Donât know enough about Dorm to comment past that.
If you can crowd Thor with offense itâs a wrap unless you get sloppy and he sneaks a Mighty Punish or a command grab in there. But good Thorâs can usually avoid that happening. It helps to NOT GO AUTOPILOT.
It also doesnât help that he wasnât playing the matchup against Spencer properly (as Thor at least).
