I was already running it from like almost a month ago myself. I decided to switch to have some type of multi hitting quick move to help Viper out in the neutral. Figured it’ll help a lot vs. start of round Hulks and other shenanigans like that. Plus I don’t really like Strider that much as a character any way.
Hated it.

Yeah I decided from when Vanilla first came out that I was going to use Doom and Dante for sure and choose between either X-23 or Viper to play along with them. Viper was supposedly too hard to play so I went with X-23. Used to play Dante on point with X-23 second. Good old times.

Now that hidden missiles is the hot shit and Dante makes that assist work well too…can use them both again for different reasons now. Really wanna learn to make the most of jam session since that definitely seems like the next big assist.

why run missiles and jam session? thats pretty redundant and plasma beam is probably just under jam/vajra in usefulness for vipers.

As good as Jam Session is I can’t see many people actually committing to learning Dante.
Because both assist actually fill out similair but different functions.
Now that’s what’s up. First off, lookin’ through your soundcloud, I’m really diggin’ the stuff you got there so far. All chill, relaxed and with that jazzy sense about it, too. Like Nujabes, Nomak, Marcus D, and the like. In particular, I liked what you were starting with that cipher beat. Definitely work on finishing that.
As for tryin’ new stuff, from what I can see, you got the slow paced, chill stuff down. Make something mid to fast now. I can’t think of any songs off hand for you to sample. Old school R&B is nice. Thelma Houston and Jerry Butler. Jazz is always good, too. Esperanza Spalding, Miles Davis, Bob Acri. DJ Honda is a favorite producer of mine. Just do what he does.
dante is not hard to learn at all . You have to be committed to be a good dante player though.

props yeah I can pretty much whip out some chill shit in a few hours. I really need to start learning how to make hyper beats. Like I have no problem finding godlike samples and such but more often than not I’ll just find like a 3-6 sec loop and build off that. I think to make a more hype beat I would need to chop the sample more or something. I don’t really listen to a lot of soul but thats probably the easiest shit to sample lol. Need to just fuck around and make a pure trap beat for experimenting purposes. the sound just doesn’t resonate with me much but I think it would be a good learning tool…
