I wouldn’t pay any attention to a 2/3 marvel tournament that starts at 10PM anyway. It also has a severe lack of competition, I know quite a few people who live minutes away who don’t bother going because nobody wants to donate to Chris G.

This is the problem. Chris G is a nice dude and everything, but I think if he sat out a tourny here and there it would help. or better yet. Himself or other top of the line players can involve the community and be like “Yo. drop by, lets level the fuck up”
But players need to realize that while you are not gonna learn anything when you get your face completely smashed in, you are not gonna become good by just memorizing combos. you need actual experience and only is only gonna take you so far.
Yeah the dude talking about Zero not winning a major even though he’s won quite a few. Vergil has won majors also obviously or he didn’t watch summer jam. The only thing he was really saying through all of his crap was that Chris G wins a lot of majors. Teams are powerful but top players are more powerful basically. Until more top players play the grimey stuff Morri Doom is going to look like the best thing in the universe to people who don’t really experiment with the game or play it at a top level.
