I always wondered what people tell work to get off unless they don’t need a reason.

Well usually I don’t need to give a reason if I still have work/vacation days left. If I run out of those and I still need the day off, call in sick and accept a non-pay day.
I’ve never been asked for a specific reason why.

Hey guys, kinda new here. I got a issue I could use some help with.

So here’s the issue, and here’s the facts. I’m trying to get a day off of work to attend a local tournament my friends having “marvel, ssfae, ssbb, cod, etc.” and I’m having a hard time justifying the reason to get off. Now I might also add i’m in the army, working full time as a reservist (I’m in the army reserves, but picked up orders to work for a year) now usually requesting leave is not a big deal, I put in the DA 31 form and I’m good to go as long as the days are covered. But the day I’m requesting is a battle assembly day, which needs specific justification on the reason. Anyway, I need a way to word me wanting to go to a tournament so that it dosnt sound like I’m just cutting work to play a game (which I am, but at my friends house I usually walk out with 200-300 dollars so I’d make more money there then work.) so any help?

Lol I believe I’m being misunderstood. Battle assembly is just another day of work. It’s just the day that the weekend warriors come in. I’m allotted leave days “days of vacation” to take. I just need to justify why I’m taking leave. I could lie, but being caught in a lie is worse then rewording the truth you know?
