Strange vs. Dorm is an odd matchup because it’ll either go in Strange’s favor and he just chills at fullscreen while having a magic spell battle with Dorm (which lead to a 7 Rings or SoV, XF, yay easy jump loop) or it’ll go in Dorm’s favor and he won’t get anything out at all thanks to the hitbox flood stuffing everything Strange has. It’s a matter of who puts the other in blockstun first and gets the hitbox flood going.

That makes it a team game, which affects Dorm matchups significantly. Suppose it depends how easily you can bait something for 7rings or SOV that won’t get made safe by Liberation.

All this Marvel talk has put me in Marvel mood. Who’s up for a lobby?

You know that Volcano > Boulder Punch assist > Acid Rain > Volcano > j.S combo that you do? Boulder Punch causes knockdown long enough for Acid Rain to OTG by itself right?

Go try: Call Chris > Volcano > Acid Rain > Acid Rain > (first Acid Rain hits) > s.S > (second Acid Rain hits) > j.S

No idea if it will work. It might work in XF1 or higher so that Dante can do Sky Dance > Acid Rain by himself.

How long that assists knockdown lasts will never make sense to me…

OTT, who’s a good check/counterpick for Dorm? Even if my Trish team is loaded with good assists for her, I might need a point character who can handle the Dread Lord well. He doesn’t really care about her up-back keepaway thanks to spells and Purification… and Stalking Flare.

In all honesty, Viper. And not just in the usual 'Viper is dabess" sense. Her combination of movement and Seismo’s give him trouble… unless he gets a stalking flare out… but at that point everyone is fucked.

For some reason, I can’t even go ABC off Bolts, like I told Baku yesterday. Like if I’m at fullscreen, I call Bolts, jump, fly, then tridash over to the opponent ending in addf j.S and the only thing that I can do to convert is st.S. Can’t even use M, H to chain. It’s weird.

Her fuzzy guard is hilariously easy on him since hes so tall and since she can rapid fire he A’s she can frame trap all of his buttons.

Bolts assist is easily handled. Once Assist Strange eats a few superjump :h: Low Voltage, he gets the point and she’s free to do whatever.

Just has to watch out for DHC into Spell of Fraud
