Acid Rain > raw tag is situational. For one, you have to start a Dante BnB that goes into it. By that time, HSD is pretty fucked so you cant use most normals and have to use HSD ignoring normals (Vergil crH and Stinger for example), normals that work with semi-high HSD (stS usually) and/or specials (not to be confused with hypers). Not to mention, the combo leading into Acid Rain probably wont build a bar so it’s better to just finish Dante’s combo and then DHC. Only reason to use it (besides style points) would be to tag into a character like Vergil or Zero who only needs a bar or two to kill the character.
Multi-lock is great since it tracks, is technically faster than Hysteric and you can do anything while holding it. The main problem is the way it hits. You’d have to time it perfectly to be able to confirm off a air hit AFAIK. There is the Sky Dance -> Multi-Lock reset which is crazy good.

I have. Morrigan+missiles is actually really easy online. To me at least. My good Doom combos are harder.
It’s already really useful though, you can lame out the majority of the game for free between Thunderbolt and hanging out beyond super jump height for like 10 seconds or do the super broken TK Vortex bullshit into free pressure.
Hmmm… I have Tron and Trish for my Dante team (I use Tron on point though), Tron would benefit the most out of it since Trish doesn’t really have any moves that ignores HSD outside of her traps, and they don’t deal a lot of damage.
With Tron though I think I can do standing H into launcher when in the corner, and I think I can still do a simple air combo, I’m pretty sure that’s possible because @Rikir showed a video with a raw tag with Tron, and I think it does a pretty good amount of damage with just one meter…
I think Multi-lock can also be good for mixups since like Daggers of Dinak and Cellphone it tracks your enemy and you have enough time to at least do something before the projectiles hit them… yeah I sure do love playing Dante 8-).
Eh, I guess I just overlooked it and never really used DT that much… I’m not that better of a Dante player than some of you though, I’m quite average actually.
Theorically DT Dante would be good against Morrigan when she does her Soul Fist thing then, Dante does have some specials that can deal with that stuff without DT but in that mode he should be even better.

It depends if there’s just latency or lag as well, imo.
Latency you can account for, but with lag you can have your flight cancels messed up at any time - which with most people I play against costs me either one or two characters >_<
You know what’s funny? I’ve noticed recently that every time I go into Devil Trigger, I’m just using it for higher maneuverability between flight and Vortex. Flying around plink dashing like a madman makes me feel like DeeDee in that one episode of Dexter’s Lab when she got the jetpack (IIRC), “Can’t catch me!”
In DT Dante can lame out Morrigan pretty well.
And i go 5 minutes into training mode to try and learn bullet hell and give up. @Chirp give me your energy
