Vergil if you use Strider, probably Doom if you use Ammy, since the THC gimmick is pretty broken against most players that dont know how to deal with it, especially if you go for the mixups that Clockwork uses.
If you want the best option probably Viper/Dante/Strider.
There are lots if string options with the classic Viper shell.
For more unconventional middle men, Dr Strange, or RR.
Or if you have an unblockable like Firebrand. 
I dont really like Strider that much, I like Dog anchor though, so Viper/???/Ammy for me…but I dont wanna play marlin pie’s team lol

Even with Hidden Missiles? It’s no Vajra, but it certainly does the job as far as flooding the screen with hitboxes.
