Teddie’s not even a bad character by any means. Your neutral and spacing have to be on point with him though.

Oh I love Teddie its that I hate how he has no decent pressure escape option. So I could be winning the match by a long shot and then die because I get cornered by anyone.
No decent pressure escape option. I can play a nearly perfect round and then die because I got cornered once. People expect his DP and know what it looks like so I just get baited. He’s a fantastic character but getting cornered is basically a guaranteed death. His offensive pressure is awesome though.

i mean, to me gameplay-wise the dude plays like chip zanuff from gg so that might be a factor

I don’t get it, if someone thinks a character is “bad”, then why do they complain about their good stuff when they play with some busted characters like that have so much stuff that is so good?

Do AAAAAAAA combos even deal that much damage in P4A and doesn’t that cost meter when you have up to max?

Bandit Boulder though, I feel that assist is really good my Tron/Dante/Trish team for combo extension and for cross ups with Dante since the start up is kinda tricky (not so fast and not so slow). I like to call it “Tron May Cry” since there’s the whole ZMC theme going on.

I think it depends on the character. Yu’s AAAAA combo does 2510 which is actually pretty close to his average midscreen damage off a ground-to-ground hit AFAIK. He doesnt have any skills that allow him to extend combos (like Chie for example) so the only way to get big damage is Cross Slash followups, One More Cancels (which both cost 50SP) or a One More Burst (which uses your BURST). Nonetheless, unless you end them in a sweep or his j2A, he cant set up his Oki which is his actual gameplan and you have to revert back to trying to chase down the opponent.
The biggest weakness of the AAAAA combos are that, if thats all you know, you’re gonna miss out on big damage and punishes in the long run. For example, his 2B is air unblockable but if all you know is AAAAA, you cant do shit off of it
