Well Chun Li wasn’t really that cheap of a top tier either. Just easy to use at an intermediate level and then increasingly tough to use as you get into more expert play.
The cheapest thing about 3S Chun outside of her pokes is having basically the longest normal throw range (with kara extension) and getting what is a 100 percent mix up if she has 2 meters. Other than that she’s very beatable.
If that’s the way Mitsuru is then that isn’t too bad.

Minus everything good about her character X isn’t that cheap. 3S Chun isn’t cheap?

I think a good 4 to 7 characters have more “cheap shit” than Chun Li. The only thing reeeeeeallly cheap about Chun Li is the being able to stock 2 meters that do 40 to 50 percent damage off a normal. Chun Li would have to struggle for top tier if SA2 was only one meter IMO. She would definitely not be top tier if her best super was Kikoshou.
If Japanese Oro players are finding the matchup easier, she’s not that bad at the highest level of play. As an Ibuki player Yang was easily the cheapest and most difficult character for me to fight. Ibuki can play a solid lame game against Chun Li and doesn’t really have to fear her too much until she gets a meter. She has to fear Yang something scary once he gets one EX meter (like a 1/3 of a bar).
Chun looks cheap on a matchup chart, but in actual competitive practice she isn’t the end of the world or anything.
Chuns only weakness was her shitty wake up.
Mitsurus weakness is if she’s using the correct bra on the given day.
Anyway Mitsuru can completely dominate space. I really don’t know what else a character needs to be considered cheap if she’s topping S tier, and at worst as the game stands will be 2nd best after Aegis, outside of something stupid like a glitchy system giving you loldamage
Yun always felt cheaper to me in 3S. Just like, I feel, that Aigis is cheaper than Mitsuru in P4A. Aigis killing you off of two/three hard to block mix-ups is no joke.

It was either Nuki or MOV, who said Chun only went even with Dudley beating everyone else. And Kuroda losing every round he fought against Chun-Li this year is sad. I love his Oro

He is cheaper. Whiff on normals for 2 seconds, turn into a super version of yourself that is basically better than everybody in the game. Plus mix ups and pressure that is completely scarier than Chun’s. Even Chun has a hard time competing with virtually 0 frame start up normals.
It’s just patient play with Chun Li can force Yun to activate naked instead of confirming from a combo which gives her more time to lame the super out. Then once she gets meter and he has to recharge she basically is better than him.
Chun has slightly better matchup average than Yun and some feel that she beats Yun. So yeah.
