I’m a P4A noob, or rather I haven’t played it at all… so enlighten me, what exactly is a “DP” in P4A? Because a lot of the things I hear from people are DPs (yet I don’t see DP motions on the characters’ move list).
To me only the first and 3rd movie are good, the 4th can be good if you really want to watch it. Pretty much everything after that are comedy movies >__>
Add Freddie vs Jason to that and you funny bad stuff.

The later entries in the series get really weird. Like it becomes less about killing and more about the main heroine getting godlike powers and smacking Freddy down. They’re also much much much more about comedy and don’t even really try to be scary.

Elm street was scary? Freddy was always cracking jokes and shit.
I don’t believe The Elm Street is supposed to be scary, because… well it’s not. When you watch a movie about some killer killing a bunch of people you’re not scared, you’re entertained.
It’s more of a suspense type of movie series.
3rd movie is an exception, that one is legit good along with the 1st one, rest is pretty bad.
I think I now see why remakes are seemed as so bad, because those horror movies have so many sequels that it’s like “oh we’ve already seen this shit before”, I mean I believe if The Elm Street series only had one movie back then, and then this remake gets released, then it wouldn’t have been ***that ***bad.
By making him from a killer with dark jokes to a comical clown killer… by the way I’m pretty sure Krueger is just a killer in the series, and the remake turned him into a true child molester.

Just got back from Revelations. I only played VSav there but I did get to watch done Marvel and Wong playing SF4. The ST heads showed up close to when I left but I got to watch them a bit, was pretty neat.
It’s good to play Vampire against real people again, even if I was a bit rusty/one of the stick’s diagonals were faulty (everyone had to use that one)/I have a lot of room to improve still. Got to meet Rotanibor, Dyne, Diar, and LL.ND (sorry I kept mishearing you!) and I’m glad I did. You guys are cool.
The venue was in a big studio with good air conditioning, so that beat the heat. Not sure how well the main game tourneys were run.
Wesker, Doom, and Jill (as in the Maximillian versions) were dancing in front of the Nos station stiffer than characters in a Netherrealms game. Barely anyone was paying attention to them, which was a bit sad.
Even sadder was how Skullgirls was tucked into a dark corner with barely anyone playing it. At least it was on a projector.
Smash Bros. and MW3 players are loud.

Every character has access to a reversal by pressing B+D. Some have really good ones, while others have some…not so good ones, like Labrys and Naoto for example. Labrys’s has armor on it and you can pretty much just mash 2A on her and confirm when the armor kicks in and have enough time to block it and punish her.
Also, Naoto Houtenjin is the most satisfying super to kill someone with.

HEY!!! I’m fine, just been busy with things. How have you been? I don’t know a whole lot about this game either but I guess DPs are similar to universal overheads in third strike. Everyone has one. Except some are counters, have different start up, animations, etc. Actually they are nothing like UOH in third strike, lol.

Yeah those are alpha counters now that I see it, it’s pretty much a tradition in ASW games anyway.

We’ve got heavy handed mods that rule places with iron fists in areas of no consequence coughskullgirlsforumcough and we have mods getting rid of threads that brought people nothing but joy and happiness coughnsfwthreadcough but we don’t have anyone doing the same for places that actually matter?
