Just 30-40%, which is still an absurd amount for pressing one button without any sense of timing and no motions.
Relatively speaking, sure, they aren’t good in comparison to real combos. But you can get by doing that and then resetting the situation with a few characters. In Marvel for most characters the difference is so much more drastic because BBCS won’t kill but an efficient combo will and then snowball, blah blah blah, guessing game, death, etc. It’s just interesting that because resets are pretty much mandatory that people aren’t whining about how easy a game it is and whatever other arguments were used early on in MVC3’s lifetime.
I don’t think anyone would feel better if combos took more buttons to kill you. I’ve never thought “'wow all those motions he’s doing to take half my life”

They don’t do 40%, they do 25~30% tops, and that’s using 50 Meter, which in this game is a lot. They are closer to ABC Super than ABCD BBCD.
I would. Getting killed in 9 hits by Hulk where the only thing that will likely fuck up is charge timing for gamma wave is far more annoying than getting killed by Dante shot loop combos.

Point is, there was like a week where AAAA jokes were being made, but it was never at the freakout point of “this makes the game horrible” from what I’ve seen.
And I was largely speaking about the local critics of Marvel who adore Persona.
That too. They’re useful when you’re feeling lazy and you just want to finish off the opponent, but unlike Marvel ABC Super won’t finish off someone in one go.

There needs to be a balance. When oki gets super retarded it tends to make the game feel robotic, like it’s playing itself.

My issue with the AAA thing has never been that it was easy.
It’s that it hides several moves behind other moves and makes hitting A, A, awkward.
This limits your options, and makes something simple more unintuitive than it should be.
