I can help you out, I main Q.
The reason is because because they have different weights when they get up in the air after the grab. Alex, Hugo, Necro and Twelve are “heavy” characters and therefore they fall faster, while characters like Ibuki, Yun, Yang and I think Remy stay in the air longer because they are light.
It’s really weird, but you can’t do this combo on the heavy characters, because they fall faster. I think Q is the only one with this thing, but I might be wrong.
